• Reminder: Wednesday, June 5th is a 9 am late start due to faculty meeting
• Dodge ball Tournament sign ups in the quad at lunch. $10.00 per team.
• Do you like being in touch with the ‘pulse’ of the Mira Costa students? Do you enjoy helping others who struggle with the many challenges that life presents to all of us? And finally, would you like to develop your leadership skills while providing critical life-improving information to your classmates? If you answered yes to these questions then consider joining the PACE program next year as an elective class. All interested students must fill out an application for next year’s class by Friday, June 7th. Applications are available in the office or can be picked up from room 57.
• FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES, AND JUNIORS! Get ready for CLASS COLOR VOTING on Tuesday 6/4 and Wednesday 6/5 at lunch in the quad! Bring your quarters to vote from a selection of 3 colors that your ASB representatives have chosen for your class. These colors will represent you all next year so make sure you vote!
• Thinking about joining the South Bay Champion Mira Costa Color guard or Drum line for the 2013-2014 school year? Come to our workshops June 4th and 6th! Meet in the band room (Room 2) at 3:30.
• There are still spots available for the 2014 Spring Break trip to the Galapagos Islands. Lunch meeting Wednesday, 6/5 in Mr. Chows Room, Room 3 or see Mr. Chow.
• Come by Room 43 and get a MCHS “Bro Tank” for $10.
• Attention next year AP ART HISTORY students! Please come to a meeting at lunch on Monday 6/10 in Ms. Park’s Room 120 to discuss summer assignments and textbooks! Thank you!
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Come to Ecology Club WILL NOT be meeting today! Please come next Monday for club elections! Thanks!
• Come to Together We Tutor on Tuesdays in Room 19! You can tutor 5th graders in Hawthorne and get community service hours. All new members welcome!
• Latino Scholars Union meets on Wednesdays in Room 72. All new members welcome!
• Do you need help getting those washboard abs for summer? Come to Active and Able TODAY and every Monday!
SENIORS
• CORRECTION: Graduation Cap and Gowns will be distributed on Tuesday, June 4th during snack and lunch in the CCC (4 graduation tickets will be given to students at this time)
SPORTS
• Boys’ Basketball tryouts will be held TODAY, June 3 and June 4th from 3:15-5:00 in the main gym. All boys interested in playing next year must tryout.
