STUDENT INFO
• Congratulations to all of the talented Mustangs who submitted designs for the 2013-14 student planner covers! The following 3 students can come to the Principals office to pick up their $100.00 gift cards: Alec Kersenboom, Kohei New and Anna O’Connor.
• Students grades 9-11: Please check your room assignment for STAR testing on the outside of the Admin. Building. Tuesday, May 21st, and Wednesday, May 22nd, you will be excused at 1:40. Tuesday will be STAR English Language Arts and Science tests. Wednesday will be Math and Social Science tests. Thursday is Life Science for 10th grade from 8-10am. If you are 9th or 11th grade, Thursday is double late start.
• If you have finished an AP test and are done with your textbook, please return it to the library. Thank you!
• ATTENTION MUSTANG TRAINERS: Please stop by Ms. Owen in room 15 or Ms. Park in room 120 to pick up and sign a Commitment Form ASAP! If you're a Jr. or a Sr. next year and you're interested in helping out next year's Freshman Orientation, stop by for more information! Thank you.
• Ice Hockey Players: There will be a pre-tryout ice hockey clinic on Monday at 7:20 pm; at Lakewood Ice. Cost for the clinic is $25. Tryouts will be in June for the Mira Costa fall season. For more info, please see www.miracostahockey.org.
• Considering a career in Law Enforcement? The Steve Harvey Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior. SEE Mr. Currier in Room 222 by Tuesday, May 21 or the CCC.
• Scholar Quiz team sign-ups will be held this coming Monday, May 20th from 7:45 to 8:00 am at the Student Store. This is only three days from now and it’s a Monday morning, so please put a reminder in your phone right now and get your teams together this weekend! Sign-up sheets are available now in the office!

• Tonight is the South Bay Student Video Festival at the auditorium at 7 pm. Come and see the work of student film makers across the nation. Five dollars at the door.

• NHS Seniors! Don’t forget your individual community service logs are due to Mrs. Wachell’s box or Room 32 by this Friday, May 17th. Thanks!
• It’s time to pre-order your Cole and Summer Reading Books! Visit the MC Book Fair TODAY in the Library from 8am to 3:30pm. Bring check or cash. All sales benefit MC PTSA!
• Need help getting those washboard abs this summer? Come to Room 38 every Monday, and please wear athletic attire.
• Fandom Club will be meeting in Room 61 during lunch TODAY. Come watch Sherlock!

SENIORS
• Seniors: On Tuesday, May 21st, you will report to the tennis courts at 9:30am for the Annual Dodgeball Tourney or you can see a movie in the auditorium. On Wednesday, May 22nd, you will report to the Meadows gate at 8:30am if you are going to Magic Mountain or the auditorium at 9:30 for a movie.
• Seniors, please turn in your dodge-ball team sheets to Mr. Mancilla immediately or your team will not be included.

• IT'S NOT TOO LATE! The deadline for ordering Faculty and Staff VARSITY SWEATERS has been extended for another week. If you would like one, there are order forms available in the Mailbox room! Drop off the form in Valerie Park's mailbox or room 120.
• Congratulations to Torrance Faculty League First Place Team; Dan Debevec, Frida Shamburg and Mary Glunt. They came in first out of 18 teams consisting of 3 Mira Costa Staff teams and 15 Torrance staff teams.
• Congratulations to Torrance Faculty League Second Place Team; Karl Kurz, Harold Coller and Jeff Mullikin
