STUDENT INFO
• Want to win a free iPad?! Then you and a friend should come to the screening of Mis Representation on May 1st at 6:30PM in the Mira Costa auditorium. This is a must see film for every human being. Everyone receives a raffle ticket, and the iPad and other great give-aways will be raffled off at the end of the film.
• Attention Future 11th Grade Dental Student! SoCal ROC is offering Dental Assisting for high school students. This is a one and half year dental assisting program designed for students to prepare them to enter the field of Dental Assisting upon graduating from high school. This is an after school program with free Bus. All supplies and materials are provided for this class. See Pat Morrow in the Career Center.
• All Students: So Cal ROC has released their schedule for Fall classes. Please sign up to see Pat Morrow in the CCC to register.
• Tickets for Anything Goes are on sale in the quad at lunch for $12 students/seniors, and $15 for adults! Come to the show TODAY and Friday at 7:30pm and last show is Saturday at 2pm and 7:30pm. Hope to see you there!
• SAT Savvy – Register by April 26th to get the discount.
• Looking for a way to unwind, relieve stress, clear your mind, and tap into your creative potential this summer? Then sign up for “Go With the Flow”, a week-long yoga, meditation, and creative writing workshop taught by Ms. Sieker. The workshop will run the week of July 8-12 from 1:15-4:25pm. This class is open to both current Costa students and alumni. No yoga experience is necessary! Online enrollment is available: www.psmanhattan.org. Click on “Camp VIP”. • Come join the Mira Costa Cheer Team! Tryouts are coming soon! Please pick up an information packet from the front office. The Cheer Team is under the new leadership of Head Coach Monica Bloodgood. See you there!
• Submissions for Reflections Literary Magazine have officially ended.
• Send in a funny photo of your pet to [email protected] with a caption. You’re pets name, you’re name, and you’re grade for a chance to win an iTunes gift card!
• Come to the NHS Bake Sale benefitting Sandy Hook on Saturday, April 27th from 10-2 at the Manhattan Beach Pier!
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• 4th Quarter Club Day forms are now being collected. Please submit them to Mrs. Claypoole, Kelly Geiser, or Roxy Vabrey no later than TODAY, 2:00pm.
• Come to Ronald McDonald House Club TODAY in Mr. Chows Room 3 at lunch! You’ll be “Lovin’ it!”!
• Come write with the Creative Writing Club every Friday at lunch in Room 18, Mrs. Vaughan’s room!
• The Geek Squad meets in the library workroom TODAY during lunch.

• Animal Rights Club is collecting towels and newspapers for Carson Animal Shelter. Please donate in Room 46 now – May 14.

SENIORS

SPORTS
• Come out and support Mira Costa Hockey. JV play on Friday at 5:15 and Sunday at 1:45pm while the varsity team has a game on Saturday at 6pm. All games are at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

• The College Fair field trip this Saturday to the Anaheim Convention Center has been cancelled.

FACULTY
• UPDATE: 2nd Annual MCHS Staff Bowling Nite is scheduled for Monday, May 6th 4-6:30pm at Gable House Bowl. Price is $3.75 per game and $4.00 for shoes NOW FREE. Please contact Jeff Mullikin to RSVP at [email protected].
