STUDENT INFO
• AP Students: The final 3 AP Exam pre-identification sessions are scheduled as follows:
o TODAY, April 23, 7:30pm Small Gym
o Wednesday, April 24, 3:30pm Small Gym
Each meeting will last approximately 40 minutes. Students must attend one and need to be on time, and bring a #2 pencil and something (a clipboard, etc.) on which to write. This is your last opportunity.
• Don't forget to contribute to the Library Club's book drive in support of Children's Bureau for children in need. Also support National Poetry Month by visiting the library with a "poem in your pocket" and you could win a prize. Ask Mrs. Lofton for more information.
• Cusco Trip 2014 parent meeting, Wednesday, April 24th at 7:00pm in Room 36.
• The Mira Costa Cheerleading Tryouts are coming up! If you are interested in trying out for the team, please pick up an informational packet with all the important dates from the front office. The cheer team is under the new leadership of Head Coach, Monica Bloodgood. All dancers, gymnasts, cheerleaders, performers and athletes are welcome to tryout. Hope to see you all there!
• Tickets for Anything Goes are on sale in the quad at lunch for $12 students/seniors, and $15 for adults!
• SAT Savvy – Register by April 26th to get the discount.
• All prospective ASB members wanting to interview for a commissioner position, sign up for a date and time in Room 40 be 2 pm TODAY, 4/23.
• Looking for a way to unwind, relieve stress, clear your mind, and tap into your creative potential this summer? Then sign up for “Go With the Flow”, a week-long yoga, meditation, and creative writing workshop taught by Ms. Sieker. The workshop will run the week of July 8-12 from 1:15-4:25pm. This class is open to both current Costa students and alumni. No yoga experience is necessary! Online enrollment is available: www.psmanhattan.org. Click on “Camp VIP”. CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Attention all Relay for Life team captains! There will be a mandatory meeting TODAY, April 23rd, to discuss team development and making sure your team’s ready for the event!
• Come to Together We Tutor Club TODAY in Room 19! Come get community service hours by tutoring at an elementary school in Hawthorne. All new members welcome!
• Come to Cuipo Club on Wednesday in Room 18 to help save the rainforest. Tropical rainforests use to cover 12% of the Earth’s land surface. Today less than 7% of Earth’s land is covered with these forests.
• Do you love science, technology, engineering, and/or math? Come to Room 75 to join GALS Club every Wednesday at lunch!
• Please join us at Friendship Circle TODAY at lunch in Room 114.
• Come to Cards for a Cause Club on Wednesdays in Room 66. You can brighten someone’s day with a card and get community service hours. New members welcome!
• Sign up for the Richstone Family Center Pier-to-Pier walk on Saturday, April 27th! Register online at Richstonefamily.org or come to Room 18 on Wednesday at lunch.
• 4th Quarter Club Day forms are now being collected. Please submit them to Mrs. Claypoole, Kelly Geiser, or Roxy Vabrey no later than April 25th at 2:00pm.
• Come to Ronald McDonald House Club this Thursday in Mr. Chows Room 3 at lunch! You’ll be “Lovin’ it!”!
• The Library Club meets in the library workroom during lunch TODAY.
SENIORS
• Seniors: You have 2 days to pick up your graduation announcements! Come to Attendance Office on Tuesday or Wednesday from 2:00-3:30pm. If the announcements are not picked up, they will be sent back to Josten’s. Get your announcements Tuesday, 2:00-3:30.
SPORTS
• Come out and support Mira Costa Hockey. JV play on Friday at 5:15 and Sunday at 1:45pm while the varsity team has a game on Saturday at 6pm. All games are at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo.

FACULTY
• 2nd Annual MCHS Staff Bowling Nite is scheduled for Monday, May 6th 4-6:30pm at Gable House Bowl. Price is $3.75 per game and $4.00 for shoes. Please contact Jeff Mullikin to RSVP at [email protected].
