STUDENT INFO
• Mustang Track & Field will honor Coach Fish and record holders at a dedication ceremony of the new Record Wall on March 20th at 3pm, Waller Stadium. All are welcome.
• CAHSEE testing will take place TODAY and tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. for ALL sophomores.
• Library hours this week: The library will open at 8 AM TODAY and Wednesday late start days this week. This is advanced notice that the library will be closed during school this Thursday and Friday. Please plan ahead to get any books and do any computer work you need before then. The library will be open for the after school program on Thursday.
• Congratulations to Arianna Hall, winner of the Read Across America book photo contest. Arianna is one of the many students now featured with a favorite book on the library Flickr page and website. She won the drawing to receive a Mysterious Galaxy gift certificate and she will be also appearing on the library READ wall with her favorite book, Perks of Being a Wallflower.
• If you are a Junior or a Senior next school year, come by Room 120 TODAY, 3/12 at lunch for a brief meeting about participating and being a leader in this year's Freshman Orientation. If you went to the last meeting, you do not need to come to this one. Bring friends who are also, SPIRITED, ENERGETIC, and FRIENDLY! See Ms. Owen or Ms. Park for more details!
• Reminder: If you are sick, you need to be checked out thru the health office first. If your parents come to pick you up because you are sick, they will be directed to the health office.

• CAHSEE testing will take place TODAY and tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. for ALL sophomores.
9th, 11th & 12th grades will come to school on those days immediately following CAHSEE testing and all grades will attend school based on the bell schedules on our website (note that they’re different each day due to the difference in test lengths).
• Parent meeting for more info TODAY, March 12th at 6:00pm in Room 48. If you want to go to Spain, Portugal 2014 during Ski Week, please tell your parents to come!
• Do you need community service hours? Grand View still needs volunteers to help with their Science Expo on Wednesday, March 13th! Volunteer slots are available from 1:30-7:30. • Are you artsy? If the answer is yes, submit your prose, poetry, drawings, art and/or photography to Reflections Literary Magazine by emailing it to [email protected].
• Please do not visit the MBMS Campus on late start mornings! High School students will not be allowed on the MBMS campus during the school day!

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Attention: All club presidents, if you missed Feb Club council, you must have at least 2 volunteers to participate in Pride Day, March 16th. You can pick up forms in Mrs. Claypoole’s Room 43. Forms are due by the end of the day on Wednesday, March 13th.
• Come get some pizza at the Moto Club TODAY in Room 30!
• Come to Together We Tutor Club TODAY in Room 19! Come get community service hours by tutoring 5th graders in Hawthorne. Pizza will be served! All new members welcome!
• The Library Club meets in the library workroom during lunch TODAY.
• Come to Relay for Life Club TODAY and every Tuesday at lunch in Room 45 to join the fight against cancer!
• Do you love animals? Do you want tips and tricks for maintaining a meat-free diet? Come to Animal Rights Club in Room 46 TODAY and every Tuesday. New members always welcome!
• Habitat for Humanity meets TODAY in Room 20.

SENIORS
• Applications for Senior Recognition/Graduation Performance are now available with Ms. Owen in Room 15 and/or in the Guidance Office.



SPORTS
• All boys’ basketball players who participated this season, there is a mandatory meeting TODAY at lunch in the gym.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Mini College Fair during lunch in the walkway behind the library TODAY, March 12th. Stop by to talk with regional admission representatives from many out-of-state colleges and universities.
• El Camino Placement Testing is taking place TODAY and Wed. during periods 5 and 6. We have an altered schedule both days, so please come at the start of period 5 not 1:00 as previously advertised. Bring your El Camino Student ID #.
• A rep from the U.S. Military Academy will be in the CCC period 2, Thursday, March 14. Sign up on Naviance.
• PJ Test Prep is offering a free practice ACT or SAT test this weekend. More info in the CCC.
• A cadet from West Point will be in the CCC Thursday, March 14th during 2nd period. Interested students should sign up on Naviance.

• Classified and Certificated payroll due to Mary g on Friday 3/15 by 9:30 am
