• Thinking about taking Appreciation of the Arts next year? Come by the library to see a display projects done by this year's class.
• February is Black History Month. Please come visit the library display of books on this theme.
• The Snack Bar by the pool will be open Wed, 2/6.
• The Neptunian Women’s Club Art and Photo Contest is coming to a close. Deadline to turn in entries is Friday, Feb. 8th. Please turn in submissions to Ms. Gardner in the Admin Office.
• The American Mathematics Competition AMC 10 and 12 tests will be held TODAY, Feb. 5th during 5th and 6th period in Room 45. Limited space is available. Sign up in Room 59.
• Students interested in AP classes for next year: AP Informational Presents: AP Art History TODAY at lunch in Room 120. AP Spanish 2/7 at lunch in Room 47.
• AP Students: Did you miss registering for the AP exams? There will be late registration TODAY at lunch only at the student store. An additional fee of $15 for each exam will be charged.
• Best of luck to Taylor Howat as she goes on to represent Mira Costa at the County-level Poetry Out Loud competition this Wednesday night! Congratulations on winning the school-wide competition two years in a row!
• Mandatory meeting Spain Trip 2013 at lunch this Wednesday in Room 48.
• GALS Club is going to have female UCLA Science Reps come to Room 75 on February 12th from 4-5 to talk about pursuing a STEM career as a woman. You can sign up in the CCC or in most science/math classes including Room 75.
• Directions for Winter Formal, this Friday, Feb. 8th, can be found on the signs around campus or in Room 43. It’s Getting Yacht in Here!
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• The library club meets in the library workroom during lunch TODAY.
• The library club will be participating in a virtual meeting with other library clubs around the U.S. to discuss Neal Shusterman's Unwind on Wednesday, February 6 at 3 PM in the library workroom. Anyone who has read the book is welcome to join the discussion.
• Come get community service hours! Together We Tutor meets in Room 19 at lunch.
• Come to Cuipo Club this Wednesday! Come help one of the world’s most ancient ecosystems in Room 18.
• Habitat for Humanity meets TODAY in Room 20.
• Music for Life Club meets TODAY in Room 109.
• Love science, technology, engineering, and/or math? Come by Room 75 every Wednesday at lunch to join GALS Club.
• The NHS Ideas Committee will meet TODAY at lunch in Room 32.
