• MBMS would like to remind you that Costa students are NOT allowed on campus during school hours. Please do not visit MBMS after your finals until after 3 pm. Thank you!
• No detentions held this week due to Exam Schedule
• Girl’s Lacrosse tryouts TODAY, January 25, 2:30pm at Meadows field. You must have a mouth guard. If you have cleats, running shoes, stick and goggles, please bring those too.
• AP Students: Registration for the Advanced Placement exams will take place January 28th through February 1st during lunch only at the student store. The registration fee is $94 per exam. Late registration will be held February 4th through February 8th during lunch only at the student store, but an extra $15 late fee for each exam will be charged. Be sure to bring your completed blue worksheet indicating the exams you will be taking, cash or check made out to MCHS for the registration fee, and a pen to complete the actual registration form.
• Students in semester classes: Please return all your semester class textbooks to the library as soon as you complete your finals this week. Any semester books returned after Tuesday, January 29 will be charged a $5 late fee. The library will be open after school each day of finals for textbook returns. You can also check out Spring Semester textbooks this week once you return your Fall books. Be sure to have your ID with you to check out books.
• Hermosa Valley School is looking for HVS alumni to be Cabin Leaders for the 6th Grade Outdoor Science School in Malibu. Outdoor Science School will take place from Monday, March 11 to Friday, March 15.
It may be possible to earn Community Service credits. Applicant deadline Friday, February 1, so that we
can have a crew + alternates in place by then. Please contact Mr. Hecker at [email protected].
• It’s time for the 35th Annual Neptunian Women’s Club Art and Photo Contest! Entry forms are available in the Admin Office as well as from Art and Photo teachers and Mr. McAvin and Mr. Hernandez. Deadline to turn in entries to Ms. Gardner in the Admin Office if Friday, February 8th.
• SAT Savvy Intensive Prep class starts Feb. 2nd. Sign up TODAY, January 25th – to get the discount. 18 hours of instruction and 4 practice tests. For more info, visit www.satsavvy.info or Room 18, 50, CC.

• Seniors - If you missed one of the mandatory Scholarship Notebook meetings and want to submit a Scholarship Notebook, come to the makeup meeting on Monday, February 4 during lunch in the CCC.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Please turn in your mid-year report forms/requests to your Guidance Counselor if applicable to the Private College or out of State College you applied to. They are due no later than February 1st, 2013. Please refer back to the guidelines regarding instructions for Private and Out of State Colleges/Universities located on the MCHS website.
• All Students – Come hear about AFS and FACES, two international study abroad and foreign exchange programs, at lunch in the CCC on Tuesday, February 5. Come see what the world has to offer!
