• It’s time for the 35th Annual Neptunian Woman’s Club Art and Photo Contest! Entry forms are available in the Admin Office as well as from Art and Photo teachers and Mr. McAvin and Mr. Hernandez. Deadline to turn in entries to Ms. Gardner in the Admin Office is Friday, February 8, 2013.
• Tryouts for the very successful and highly competitive Mira Costa Badminton team will be held on Tuesday, January 15th and Wednesday, January 16th from 4 to 6 pm at the Manhattan Beach Badminton Club. Only the top 34 players will make the team. See Dr. Wilson in Room 57 for details.
• Attention: Anyone interested in track, tryouts will be held on Thursday, January 10th at 3:15 pm on the track. All Freshmen are encouraged to attend. Remember to wear shorts and track shoes. Contact coach Calderon for further details, room 72.
• Mandatory meeting for all Poetry Out Loud contestants in Room 34 this Friday at lunch!

• Audition packets and sign-ups for the spring production of Anything Goes are due this Friday, January 11th in Room 1. Auditions are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Jan 14-17th.

SENIORS
• Scholarship Notebook meetings: January, 16th, or 24th. Seniors! Those of you who plan to submit a scholarship notebook must attend ONE of these meetings during lunch in the CCC. The deadline to submit a Scholarship Notebook is Feb. 28th by the end of lunch – no exceptions!
• All graduating seniors are invited to complete a Scholarship Notebook. Notebooks will be reviewed by various local scholarship committees. Any student who wants to complete a Scholarship Notebook MUST come to one of the following three informational meetings in the CCC during lunch Wednesday, January 16 or Thursday, January 24. Notebooks will be due February 28th.
• Seniors: Friday, January 11, is the last day to turn in your personal ad for the yearbook. You can drop off your ad in the front office or Room 9 at lunch. Ads will not be accepted after Friday!

• Financial Aid Workshop in the CCC Thursday, January 10 @ lunch – learn tips on completing the FAFSA and searching for scholarships.
