STUDENT INFO
• Tryouts for the very successful and highly competitive Mira Costa Badminton team will be held on Tuesday, January 15th and Wednesday, January 16th from 4 to 6 pm at the Manhattan Beach Badminton Club. Only the top 34 players will make the team. See Dr. Wilson in Room 57 for details.
• Attention: Anyone interested in track, tryouts will be held on Thursday, January 10th at 3:15 pm on the track. All Freshmen are encouraged to attend. Remember to wear shorts and track shoes.
• Boys Tennis: There will be a brief but mandatory meeting for the Boy’s Tennis Team on Tuesday at the beginning of lunch in Room 63. All players must attend.
• Mandatory meeting for all Poetry Out Loud contestants in Room 34 this Friday at lunch!
• SAT Savvy Intensive Prep class starts February 2nd! Sign up today and improve your SAT scores. 18 hours of instruction plus 4 practice tests. For more info www.satsavvy.info or Room 18, 50, CC.
• Anyone who has not signed up for the Talent Show and still wants to audition must turn in the form to Mrs. Claypoole, Room 43, by TODAY to audition tomorrow.

• Together We Tutor meets in Room 19 TODAY! Come get community service hours!
• More than 200,000 acres of rainforest are destroyed each day and 78 million acres are lost every year. Come to the Cuipo Club on Wednesdays in Room 18 and help stop the chop! All are welcome!

• Love science, technology, engineering, and/or math? Come by Room 75 every Wednesday at lunch and join GALS Club!
• Habitat for Humanity will meet TODAY in Room 20.

• Interested in your Jewish heritage? Come to the Jewish Cultural Club TODAY at lunch in Mr. Fauver’s Room 200.
• Come to Cards for a Cause Club Wednesday at lunch to write cards to the military and the elderly. All new members are welcome!
SENIORS
• Scholarship Notebook meetings: TODAY, January 8th, 16th, or 24th. Seniors! Those of you who plan to submit a scholarship notebook must attend ONE of these meetings during lunch in the CCC. The deadline to submit a Scholarship Notebook is Feb. 28th by the end of lunch – no exceptions!
• All graduating seniors are invited to complete a Scholarship Notebook. Notebooks will be reviewed by various local scholarship committees. Any student who wants to complete a Scholarship Notebook MUST come to one of the following three informational meetings in the CCC during lunch TODAY, Tuesday, January 8, or Wednesday, January 16 or Thursday, January 24. Notebooks will be due February 28th.
