• Mira Costa Drama presents the Second Annual Winter Benefit Show, Tuesday, December 11th in Room 1 at 7:00 pm. $5 at the door and all proceeds go to Operation Happiness!
• Reminder: If you would like to compete in Mira Costa’s second annual Poetry Out Loud competition, applications are due Friday, December 21st to Ms. Sieker in Room 34.
• Do you want to help others while exploring the ancient land of the Incas? Come join us on the trip of a lifetime. Peru, Spring Break 2014! Come to Room 36 on Wednesday, 12/12 at lunch to find out more. Plus, we’ll have cookies!
• Mandatory meeting for those going on the Ireland, Scotland and England trip over Spring Break. Room 61 on Thursday 12/13 during lunch. Spots are still available, newcomers welcome!
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Attention all clubs: Please make sure to include your clubs meeting room number, teacher signatures, and proper dates, or else they will not be put in! It makes it very difficult to enter without all the required information needed. Along with this, I want to stress that all notices are due by 11:30am, no later! Sorry for any inconveniences. Thank you!
• The Library Club will be participating, along with several other school library clubs around the country, in a virtual meeting to discuss Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky on Wednesday at 3 PM in the library workroom. Anyone who has read the book is welcome to join us for what we are sure will be a lively discussion.
• Put on your Mickey ears and come to Disney’s Friends for Change Club TODAY at lunch in Room 223!
• Come to Chinese Language & Culture Club TODAY for Chinese culture, language, and fun! Everyone is welcome!
• Eco Club is meeting TODAY in Room 73!
• Attencion! Latino Scholars Union meets every Wednesday in Room 72! See you there!
• Deforestation brings with it dire consequences, such as air and water pollution, soil erosion, malaria epidemics, the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, and the loss of precious biodiversity. Join Cuipo Club on Wednesdays in Room 18. Help stop the chop!
• Habitat for Humanity meets on Tuesday in Room 20!
• S-Club meets TODAY in Room 111.
• Want to help cure cancer? Come by Room 45 tomorrow at lunch to join the fight!

• College Financial Aid Information Night TODAY, December 10th @ 7:00pm in the auditorium. We have a new presenter this year and recommend that families of all grade levels 9-12 attend this event to find ways to help afford college.
