• You are cordially invited to participate in Mira Costa’s second annual Poetry Out Loud competition! Poetry Out Loud is a nation-wide recitation competition. Contestants memorize and perform two poems selected from the Poetry Out Loud online anthology. Check out poetryoutloud.org. The competition will be held mid-January. See your English teacher or Ms. Sieker in Room 34 for details.
• Two spots have opened up for Costa Rica 2012! See Senora Geczi in Room 47 for details!
• Attention students who have selected to be honored at the Scholar Breakfast Thursday morning at 7 am in the cafeteria, you will be excused from zero period!
• Boys Tennis: There will be tryouts for new players on Monday, December 3rd, and Tuesday, December 4th, from 3-5 pm at the Costa tennis courts. Please come dressed to play. Players must attend both days.
• SAT Savvy Intensive Prep Sessions start 2nd Semester. 18 hours of instruction plus 4 practice tests. Come to Room 18, 50, or the cc for more info. www.satsavvy.info.
• Dodgeball Tournament sign ups at lunch in front of the student store now until Friday, December 7th. $2 per person and $10 per team + 1 alternate.
• From those that brought you “Dancing with the Teachers”, the Mira Costa dance company presents “The Gift of Movement” Dance concert this Thursday at 7pm. Presale tickets are $5 TODAY, $7 tomorrow, and $9 at the door. Purchase them at the auditorium.
• Students and Faculty: come to the Joslyn Center this Saturday to celebrate MB’s 100th anniversary for a free lunch and discussion of the city’s past and future anytime between 9-3:45 pm.

• Come to Room 15 TODAY and join Club NEDA to help raise awareness of eating disorders and body image!
• ATTENCION! Latino Scholars Union meets TODAY and every Wednesday in Room 72! See you there!
• Love Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Math? Come by Room 75 and join GALS Club TODAY and every Wednesday at lunch!
• Science Olympiad meets TODAY and every Wednesday in Room 77.
• Come to Dig 4 Kids Club Thursday in Room 59 to help inner city kids enjoy the beach and play volleyball!
