• You are cordially invited to participate in Mira Costa’s second annual Poetry Out Loud competition! Poetry Out Loud is a nation-wide recitation competition. Contestants memorize and perform two poems selected from the Poetry Out Loud online anthology. Check out poetryoutloud.org. The competition will be held mid-January. See your English teacher or Ms. Sieker in Room 34 for details.
• Two spots have opened up for Costa Rica 2012! See Senora Geczi in Room 47 for details!
• Attention students who have selected to be honored at the Scholar Breakfast Thursday morning at 7 am in the cafeteria, you will be excused from zero period!

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• TLC: The Library Club meets in the library workroom during lunch TODAY.
• Come to Room 15 on Wednesdays and join Club NEDA to help raise awareness of eating disorders and body image!

SPORTS
• Boys Soccer kicks off the season TODAY at 3:00 vs Crespi. Come out and support the teams!

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• College Financial Aid Information Night Monday, December 10th @ 7:00pm in the auditorium. We have a new presenter this year and recommend that families of all grade levels 9-12 attend this event to find ways to help afford college.

• The scheduled visit this Wed from the U.S. Naval officer has been cancelled.

FACULTY
• Attention teachers: Please turn in your Operation Happiness form by the end of TODAY! Also, ASB will be bringing canned food drive boxes to your class 4th period on Wednesday!
