• Reflections Club is now accepting submissions for this year’s Reflections Magazine! Turn in your poetry, prose, drawings, or photos to [email protected] or in Room 18. Reflection’s is an annual literary magazine, comprised of artistic works of the student body; poetry, prose, photographs, paintings, or sketches.
• You are cordially invited to participate in Mira Costa’s second annual Poetry Out Loud competition! Poetry Out Loud is a nation-wide recitation competition. Contestants memorize and perform two poems selected from the Poetry Out Loud online anthology. Check out poetryoutloud.org. The competition will be held mid-January. See your English teacher or Ms. Sieker in Room 34 for details.
• Two spots have opened up for Costa Rica 2012! See Senora Geczi in Room 47 for details!
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Come to Room 15 on Wednesdays and join Club NEDA to help raise awareness of eating disorders and body image!
• Join Dance Club to meet other students who dance! Meetings held in front of the gym.
• Want to be a part of the fight against cancer? Come to Relay for Life Club in Room 45 at lunch, every Tuesday! Everyone is welcomed!
• Don’t be a manatee, come to amnesty…international, in Room 72 every Tuesday during lunch!
• Come to LEO Club Tuesday at lunch in Room 62! New members welcome!
• ATTENCION! Latino Scholars Union meets every Wednesday in Room 72! See you there!

• College Financial Aid Information Night Monday, December 10th @ 7:00pm in the auditorium. We have a new presenter this year and recommend that families of all grade levels 9-12 attend this event to find ways to help afford college.
