• ATTENTION STUDENTS: The newly designated lettered parking spaces in the Peck parking lot will be assigned to staff members this week. Please discontinue parking in these spaces immediately.

• Ireland-Scotland-England 2013 Trip – Come to Room 60 at lunch TODAY, 10/11 for an important meeting – BRING A FRIEND!
• Attention Students: those who are interested in starting a club! There is only 2 weeks left to start a club, otherwise you must wait until next year!
• Attention Students: Homecoming ticket sales started! Get your permission slips and tickets turned in at lunch to the student store!
• If you would like to sign up for the blood drive, you can either sign up with an ASB member or see Mrs. Claypoole in Room 42. The blood drive is November 6th.
• Dance Team’s Annual Lip Sync is almost here! Sign up soon to get the song of your choice. Flyers will be available in the main hallway.
• IN-N-OUT Honor Roll Recognition Lunch – In-N-Out trucks will be returning to Mira Costa on Tuesday, October 16th to serve complimentary lunches to all students who earned a GPA or 3.5 or higher at Mira Costa last semester. All eligible students must bring their current Mira Costa I.D. to the school auditorium check-in area during the regular lunch period (12:21-12:51pm) in order to participate. Please check the Mira Costa Website or on the lists up in the cafeteria to see if you are on the list – the offices will be closed during the in/out lunch. If you are not on the list but feel you should be, please see your advisor before October 16th.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• The designers in Manhattan Club will have a guest speaker, Walter Wilson, TODAY, October 11th during lunch in Room 112. Everyone is welcomed! He is a Men’s Fashion Designer!
• Come to the auditorium at lunch TODAY to watch the presidential debate between Young Republicans and Young Democrats! Everyone is welcome!
• Come Fiesta with us Salsa Style! TODAY at Lunch! No experience required!
• Come to Friendship Circle TODAY in Room 114 to have a great time!
• Come to Room 205 TODAY for Partners for the Planet! New members welcome!
• The “HH” Club will meet TODAY in Room 407 at lunch.
• Come to Food Critic’s Club TODAY in Room 50 to talk about delicious food, help cure cancer, and say hi to Ms. G!
• Come to Key Club TODAY in Room 78 at lunch! Key Club is an awesome way to get health hours since it is the largest community service organization in high schools across the nation.

SENIORS
• Senior Picture will be taken at Waller Stadium TODAY, 10/11. Dismissal from class will be at 9:45 am.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• All students taking the PLAN test this Saturday, October 13th need to check the lists posted outside of the school office and library on Thursday and Friday to find their testing room location. Students should arrive at 7:45am and bring a photo ID, two #2 pencils, and a calculator. If you signed up for the test and are not on one of the lists see Mrs. Folkman in the CCC.

• TODAY, October 11th: Paul Kanarek Presentation at 7:30 pm in the auditorium – expert on college admissions and testing.
• October 13th: PLAN test at 8:00 am. Classroom assignments will be posted outside the main office and the library on Wednesday. Be sure to bring a photo ID, #2 pencils and a calculator. Please report to class at 7:45.
