• Don't forget to visit the library to see the Banned Books Week Display and participate in our Banned Books Week Contest. Entries are due by next Wednesday, 10/10.
• The Ceramics and Woodshop programs will have booths at the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair this Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Come support the art program at MCHS and purchase original student artwork. For more information, see Ms. Martin in Room 102.
• Club day is 10/10 at lunch in the new quad. Bring extra money.
• Want to visit the ancient ruins of Greece and explore the history of Turkey? Come to an informational meeting about the Greece trip TODAY, 10/5 during lunch in Room 123 or speak to Mr. Uhalt or Ms. Choi.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• The CSF membership drive is being extended to next Friday, October 12th. CSF is a state-wide academic honors organization whose purpose is to recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. Colleges and universities tend to look favorably on potential CSF life members when reviewing applications. Check the eligibility list on the door of Room 76 and pick up an application.
• Attention big and little “sisters” or “brothers”: our lunch event will be TODAY by the flagpole at the admin building. Come grab some pizza and meet your new “sibling”!
• Philanthropic Runners Club meets TODAY in Room 72.
• Do you like dancing? Interested in joining a club focused on dancing? Then come to Dance Club TODAY in front of the gym.
• Investors’ Club will meet TODAY at lunch in Mr. Geczi’s Room 225. New members are always welcome!

SENIORS
• The Senior Class photo will take place on Thursday, October 11 during second period. If you want to be in it you must be there.
• The deadline to take your senior portrait is November 2nd. If you have not taken your portrait, you can contact Ralf’s Photography.com to set up an appointment. You will NOT be in the yearbook if your picture isn’t taken before then.
