• Don't forget to visit the library to see the Banned Books Week Display and participate in our Banned Books Week Contest. Entries are due by next Wednesday, 10/10.
• Do you need help with your computer, mobile device, or software? Come to the library at lunch to get help from the Mira Costa Geek Squad.
• CSF Fall Membership drive runs through October 5th. This membership drive is open to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. Please check the eligibility list on the door of Room 76 and then pick up your application.
• The Ceramics and Woodshop programs will have booths at the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair this Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Come support the art program at MCHS and purchase original student artwork. For more information, see Ms. Martin in Room 102.
• Club day is 10/10 at lunch in the new quad. Bring extra money.
• Attention Freshmen and Seniors: freshmen who signed up to be “little brothers” or “little sisters” and seniors who signed up to be “big brothers” or “big sisters”: Tomorrow, we will have a lunch in front of the admin. building. You will get a call slip with more information shortly.
• Want to visit the ancient ruins of Greece and explore the history of Turkey? Come to an informational meeting about the Greece trip on Friday, during lunch in Room 123 or speak to Mr. Uhalt or Ms. Choi.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Join our fiesta with us, Salsa style! Latin Dance Club in Room 48 at lunch TODAY and every Thursday! No experience required!
• Come to Giving Hope Club Wednesdays at lunch in Room 45.
• The Geek Squad meets in the library workroom during lunch TODAY. New members are welcome.
• Come get involved in the Black Scholars Union meeting TODAY at lunch in the drama room!
• The “HH” Club will meet TODAY in Room 407 at lunch.
• Give hope to those who don’t have it. Come to Lend a Hand Club every Thursday in Room 41.
• Come to Girls’ League TODAY in Room 34 and help support the fight against cancer!
• Partners for the Planet meeting TODAY in Room 205 at lunch! Please stop by, it will be unbe”leaf”able! New members welcome!
• GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) meets TODAY at lunch in Room 22.
SPORTS
• Boys Volleyball tryouts will be held on TODAY, October 4th. Freshmen will tryout from 3:00-4:30 in the main gym, followed by all others from 4:30-6:30. Any questions, see Mr. Ninnis in Room 52.
SENIORS
• The Senior Class photo will take place on Thursday, October 11 during second period. If you want to be in it you must be there.
• The deadline to take your senior portrait is November 2nd. If you have not taken your portrait, you can contact Ralf’s Photography.com to set up an appointment. You will NOT be in the yearbook if your picture isn’t taken before then.
