• Directory Pickup: Directories can be picked up in the PTSA office during the following hours: Monday, 10/1 2:45-3:30, Tuesday, 10/2 and Wednesday, 10/3 2:00 – 3:30.
• Do you need help with your laptop, mobile device, or other hardware or software? Come to the library any day during lunch to get help from the Mira Costa Geek Squad. Ask at the desk and we will match you with a Geek!
• This week is Banned Books Week, a national celebration of the right to read what you choose. Please come to the library to see our Banned Books display and participate in our Banned Books Week Contest.
• CSF Fall Membership drive runs through October 5th. This membership drive is open to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. Please check the eligibility list on the door of Room 76 and then pick up your application.
• Stressed about college preparation! Take an intellectual break on Saturday, October 13th to attend the TEDxManhattanBeach 2nd Annual Conference: “Journey To Purpose: Dream.Educate.Thrive.” Come hear how many successful innovators and thinkers have discovered their careers and purpose. Inspiration comes in many different forms – sometimes you discover it early, and other times the journey takes longer. In today’s global landscape, the journey can change direction, or become a meandering path. One thing is for certain, thought – there has never been a more fascinating time to explore your purpose.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Ecology Club meeting TODAY, 10/1, in Room 73.
• Come to Red Cross Club, Wednesday 10/3, at lunch in Room 73 for service hours, and more. Come check it out!

SPORTS
• Boys Volleyball tryouts will be held on Thursday, October 4th. Freshmen will tryout from 3:00-4:30 in the main gym, followed by all others from 4:30-6:30. Any questions, see Mr. Ninnis in Room 52.
