STUDENT INFO
• The library is open for student visits from 7:30 AM – 5 PM Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 AM –
3 PM on Fridays. Textbook transactions are handled from 7:30 – 2:55 each day.
• Reminder students: No lunches, lunch money, homework, etc, will be delivered to you in the classroom, nor will you be notified by the office to pick them up. The attendance office is not responsible for any money or other items left for you.
• “Attention students: Only students who have purchased a 2012-13 parking permit are allowed to park in the student lot. Do NOT park in any of the numbered spaces—those spaces are reserved for teachers. Students who park without a valid permit or in a numbered teacher parking space will be ticketed.”
• Students who still need textbooks: Please come to the library as soon as possible from 7:30- 3:00pm. We will be opening for library business very soon, once textbooks are all distributed.
• Correction: Make up pictures are scheduled for Tuesday, September 25th from 8-3 in the auditorium lobby.
• Boys Golf: Rookie gold tryouts for Boys, see Mr. Fauver in Room 200 or Mr. Timberlake in Room 202 for more information.
• Jamba Juice is coming tomorrow after school outside the gym. Support the Mira Costa orchestras’ and bring your $4 to enjoy delicious and refreshing smoothies!
• PSAT and PLAN Test Registration will take place this week in the student store during lunch. Cost is $25 per exam. Space is limited, so sign up earlie to guarantee a spot. Late Registration will take place September 18, 19, & 20 in the student store. Cost will be $35 per exam during late registration. There will be no registration allowed after September 20th!! The PLAN test will be given on Saturday, October 13th at 8am and is for sophomores ONLY. The PSAT will be given on Saturday, October 20th at 8am. The PSAT is designed for juniors, but sophomores and freshman are allowed to take the exam. It is recommended that you are in Algebra 3-4 or higher if taking the PSAT.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Any Clubs needing sponsors or locations to meet should see any Vice Principal or Dr. Dale. Email or request in person.
• Our first S-Club meeting of the year is TODAY at lunch on the Waller Stadium bleachers. New members are welcome to join and participate in fun and meaningful community service.
• Ready to open up a new chapter in your life? Come to Literature Club! Monday, at lunch, outside of Mr. Chow’s Room 3. Join in on the fun, and hope to see you there!
