STUDENT INFO
• Starting TODAY, September 5th any Students who have an “excused 0, 1st, or 6th period” or surf team on their schedule need to come to the Guidance Office to get an “Off-Grounds sticker” placed on their student ID card. Off-Grounds will be issued before school, at snack, at lunch, or after school only. Please do not come during class time. If you are stopped by the police without the Off-Grounds sticker on your ID card, you may be subject to a truancy citation.
• “Attention students: Only students who have purchased a 2012-13 parking permit are allowed to park in the student lot. Do NOT park in any of the numbered spaces—those spaces are reserved for teachers. Students who park without a valid permit or in a numbered teacher parking space will be ticketed.”
• Attention all girls interested in playing basketball. Tryouts will be held: TODAY, 9/5 at MCHS 6:30-8:30, Thursday, 9/6 at MBMS 6:45-8:45, Friday 9/7 at MBMS 6:45-8:45. If you have any questions contact Coach Miranda at [email protected]
• Girls Soccer try-outs TODAY, Sept 5th – Sept 7th at 3:00 pm. Meet at back fields by Meadows ave.
• Boys Golf Info: Tryouts for fall. See Mr. Fauver, Room 200 or Mr. Timberlake Room 202 for forms and dates.
• Boys’ Basketball tryouts will be held TODAY, September 5th at Manhattan Beach Middle School. The tryouts will be from 5-7. All potential players not in a fall sport should at these tryouts.
• Students who still need textbooks: Please come to the library as soon as possible from 7:30- 3:00pm. We will be opening for library business very soon, once textbooks are all distributed.
• Attention Students: If your ID card says STAFF ID, you must report it to Mrs. Claypoole in room 43 at nutrition to get a new one. Thank you!
• Students needing to get or return textbooks can do so from 7:30 AM to 2:55 PM each day. We are not open for textbook transactions after school. Students are reminded to check all of their books for damages, including missing or torn pages, writing, or water damage, and bring any damaged books to the library within two weeks of checkout. After that time, the student becomes responsible for such damages. Thanks for your help with this.
• Students: There is a RAVE dance after the football game on Friday, September 6th, from 9:30-11! Tickets are $3 with ASB marker and $4 without. Hope to see you there!
• Attention Freshmen: Freshmen election meetings for ASB student government will be held on TODAY, 9/5 and Thursday, 9/6. You MUST attend one of the meetings if you are considering being a part of the organization.
• Audition packets for the Fall Production You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown will be available in Room 4 TODAY, and Thursday. Forms are due Friday, September 7th. Auditions are September 10th-12th from 3:00-6pm!
• Attention all freshmen: if you are interested in being a class officer in ASB, please attend an information meeting TODAY and Thursday, September 6th.
• Boys Golf: Rookie gold tryouts for Boys, see Mr. Fauver in room 200 or Mr. Timberlake in room 202 for more information.
