• Reminder: Wednesday, 6/6 will be a Department Meeting Schedule
• Last chance in your lifetime, 105 years, to see Venus pass in front of the sun. The science dept. will have several telescopes setup on the Northwest side of the small gym from 3:00 to 4:00 TODAY, June 5th to watch the event- weather permitting. Everyone is invited.
• As the end of the year approaches, be sure to return your textbooks and library books to the library as soon as you are done with them. It is extremely important that we get books back on time so that we can accurately determine whether we have adequate numbers for future students. In order to encourage prompt returns, a $5 per book fine will be assessed for each late textbook returned after June 21, the last day of school.
• If you would like to check if you’ve ordered a yearbook, check the list posted in the office. If you would still like to order one, please bring $90.00 CASH only to Room 49B during nutrition or lunch.
• Attention all girls interested in playing basketball. Tryouts will be held from 4-6 in the gym on Wednesday 6/6.
• Costa Rica 2013 meeting Wednesday, 6/6 at lunch in Room 47. Pura Vida!
• Spain Trip 2013-meeting this Thursday, June 7th at lunch in Room 48
• Jamba Juice is coming TODAY afterschool outside the gym to support the Mira Costa Orchestra by bringing $4.00 to enjoy delicious and refreshing smoothies.
• TODAY is Jamba Juice Tuesday afterschool outside the gym. Enjoy a smoothie for just $4.00.
• Do you need help with your laptop, smartphone, mobile device, or calculator? Get help from the Geek Squad in the library during lunch each Friday or by appointment. For more information, ask Mrs. Lofton at the library.
• Next year’s AP US students: You may get book ordering information on Mr. Fauver’s homework site. You can access the site through the Mira Costa web site and the “Academics” tab. Click on Departments, then Social Studies, then Mr. Fauver and finally “AP US 2012-13”.
• If you’re 16 or older make sure you sign up for the blood drive for either June 7th or June 8th. Sign up in Room 43.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Ping Pong Club is back for 2nd semester! Come to the small gym at lunch and have a great time.
• Don’t use profanity, come to Habitat for Humanity!! TODAY’s meeting during lunch in Room 20 is important for elections, so come to choose the person who will get to write these catchy rhymes next year!
• Want to make the most out of your lunch money? Then come to Investors Club Wednesday, 6/6 in Mr. Geczi’s room, Room 225. No previous investing experience is required.
• Richstone Club meeting, Wednesday, 6/6 at lunch. Bring your hours log!!!
• TLC: The Library Club will hold its final meeting TODAY, 6/5 during lunch in the library work room. Please come with a summer reading recommendation for the other club members.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• We are hosting representatives from The United States Military during lunch Wednesday, June 6th to talk with students about careers in the military. They will be on the walkway above the library.
