• Attention all girls interested in playing basketball. Tryouts will be held from 4-6 in the gym Monday 6/4 and Wednesday 6/6.

• Do you need help with your laptop, smartphone, mobile device, or calculator? Get help from the Geek Squad in the library during lunch each Friday or by appointment. For more information, ask Mrs. Lofton at the library.

• Are you a Halo fan? Here’s your chance to have fun, win prize money, and support the MCHS Library. Come to the Halo Game Tournament in the Library TODAY, 6/1 from 3 PM – 5 PM. Admission is $5.00. Come by the library for more information.

• Next year’s AP US students: You may get book ordering information on Mr. Fauver’s homework site. You can access the site through the Mira Costa web site and the “Academics” tab. Click on Departments, then Social Studies, then Mr. Fauver and finally “AP US 2012-13”.

• Juniors: Nominations have now been chosen. Come to the student store to vote for 1 boy and 1 girl as Prom’s 2012 Duke and Duchess!!!!

• If you’re 16 or older make sure you sign up for the blood drive for either June 7th or June 8th. Sign up in Room 43.

• Have some fun tonight! Come see your Costa bands are performing their last concert of the year, TODAY, June 1st at 7:00pm. Music features chart-topping hits from Pirates of the Caribbean, An American in Paris, Avatar, Legends of Rock, Guitar Hero, Les Miserables, Toy Story, Led Zeppelin and Incredibles. Students, children, teachers and staff are free. Teachers and staff are free. Other adults are $10. See you at Chart Toppers!

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• NHS Members: Due to Scholar Quiz, our next (and last) meeting will be next Friday, June 8th.

• Obama for America will be holding a phone bank after school on Monday, June 4th in Room 200. If you are interested please email Adam Gerard.

• Come to Cinema Club TODAY at lunch in Room 108!

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• We are hosting representatives from The United States Military during lunch Wednesday, June 6ths to talk with students about careers in the military. They will be on the walkway above the library.
