• MBMS is hosting their first ever Time Warner Cable Science Night on Friday, June 1st, from 4 – 8 pm and they need student volunteers! If you’re looking for fun and meaningful community service hours, please visit “mbmswaves.com” to sign up!
• Prom ticket sales are in the Student Store every day at lunch! Ticket prices may be found on signs and forms in Room 43, Student Store, or the 40’s hall.
• Sign-ups for the second Dodge-for-a-cause lunchtime dodge ball tournament are this week outside of the student store at lunch.
• Jamba Juice is coming tomorrow after school outside of the gym. Support the Mira Costa Orchestra and bring your $4.00 to enjoy delicious and refreshing smoothies!!!
CLUBS / ORGANIZATION
• Come to Cinema Club TODAY at lunch in Room 108!
• Ping Pong Club is back for 2nd semester! Come to the small gym at lunch TODAY and have a great time!
• Come Fiesta with us Salsa Style! On Wednesday during lunch!
• The South Bay Student Film Festival is on May 18th at 7:00 pm in the auditorium. Admission is $5. Come see the best high school movies!
• Young Democrats Club meets TODAY in Room 200. New members welcome.
• Attention CSF Members: your second period teacher has received you Spring 2012 membership cards in their mailbox on Friday, May 11th. Please ask them nicely to pass them out if they have not already done so.

• For the 3rd year, Sandacre Scholarship Fund is honored to recognize the GREAT teachers at Mira Costa High School. It’s that time to nominate a teacher who has inspired, prepared and or stimulated his/her students to help them achieve their future endeavors. Please see your senior English teacher for the nomination form. After completing the form, please submit to Denise Anderson’s mailbox on or before May 15th. The winner(s) will be announced at the annual All Awards Assembly, May 31st!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Pat Morrow from the So Cal Regional Occupational Center will be in the CCC TODAY, May 14, to talk with any interested students about the SCROC programs.
