STUDENT INFORMATION
• ATTENTION NEXT YEAR’S JUNIORS & SENIORS: Now is your chance to sign up for student parking next year. Come to the Guidance Office and see Ms. Gardner before/after school or during snack or lunch to sign up. Students are not allowed to sign up for their friends. If you currently have a parking pass, a new one is required every year to park in the lot.
• The reception for the All Media Student Art Show will be held TODAY from 5-7 pm at the Manhattan Beach Creative Arts Center. It will be a fun evening of art and live music. All students, families and friends are invited to attend. Admission is free. The Creative Arts Center is located at 1560 Manhattan Beach Blvd. across the street from Polliwog Park.
• Designers in Manhattan presents the fourth annual Mira Costa Fashion show TODAY, May 11th from 6:30 to 9:00 pm in the auditorium. Admission is free.
• Charitable Couture presents “clean out your closet day”. Please bring any unwanted clothes and shoes in bags to the library, main office, ASB room and Room 223.
• Manhattan Beach Police Memorial Ceremony & Open House is tomorrow, Saturday, May 12, 9am-1pm.
• MBMS is hosting their first ever Time Warner Cable Science Night on Friday, June 1st, from 4 – 8 pm and they need student volunteers! If you’re looking for fun and meaningful community service hours, please visit “mbmswaves.com” to sign up!
• Prom ticket sales are in the Student Store every day at lunch! Ticket prices may be found on signs and forms in Room 43, Student Store, or the 40’s hall.

• Seniors: For the 3rd year, Sandacre Scholarship Fund is honored to recognize the GREAT teachers at Mira Costa High School. It’s that time to nominate a teacher who has inspired, prepared and or stimulated his/her students to help them achieve their future endeavors. Please see your senior English teacher for the nomination form. After completing the form, please submit to Denise Anderson’s mailbox on or before May 15th. The winner(s) will be announced at the annual All Awards Assembly, May 31st !
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Pat Morrow from the So Cal Regional Occupational Center will be in the CCC on Monday, May 14, to talk with any interested students about the SCROC programs.
