STUDENT INFORMATION

• ATTENTION NEXT YEAR’S JUNIORS & SENIORS: Now is your chance to sign up for student parking next year. Come to the Guidance Office and see Ms. Gardner before/after school or during snack or lunch to sign up. Students are not allowed to sign up for their friends. If you currently have a parking pass, a new one is required every year to park in the lot.

• Reflections Club is no longer accepting submissions. Thank you to all who submitted and stay tuned for the official magazine coming out this June.

• Poetry Slam at Pages bookstore in Manhattan Beach on May 20th at 1:00pm. Anyone interested in reading an original piece of poetry or prose come to Room 18 to sign up. All are welcome.

• Charitable Couture presents “clean out your closet day”. Please bring any unwanted clothes and shoes in bags to the library, main office, ASB room and Room 223.

• Prom ticket sales will begin May 7th!

• Tryouts for the 2012-13 Girls Volleyball Team will be held on May 9 & 10 at MBMS gym from 3-5pm.
This tryout is for all girls currently enrolled in Mira Costa. Please email the Head Coach if you are planning on participating in tryout. Contact for Lisa Zimmerman is [email protected]

• TODAY is Dippin Dots Day. Stop by the gym afterschool to enjoy your favorite flavor for just $3.00.

• All Students: If you have not turned in your scheduling forms by now please turn them into your counselor immediately. It is important to have all requests completed.

SPORTS





SENIORS

• Don’t forget to purchase your Magic Mountain tickets at the student store. $47 includes transportation and all you can eat lunch during senior seminars.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• An officer from the U.S. Navy will be in the CCC Wed, 5/9 to answer questions regarding nuclear power opportunities in the Navy as well as ROTC options.
