• Submit your photos to La Vista’s 21st annual photo contest! Categories include: People, Place, Thing and Mira Costa. See our facebook page for more information. Photos must be submitted to the box in Room 6 or [email protected] by 4/16!!
• This year Reflections Club is holding cover design contest. Turn in any black/white submission to Room 18 or email to [email protected]. Winner will receive a $25 gift card to Pages Book Store!
• Attention Students: Make time on April 17th, 18th or 19th to come by the cafeteria at lunch to vote for next year’s Mira Costa Planner covers!
• Pre-sale tickets for the spring musical Fiddler on the Roof go on sale TODAY and the pre-sale price will continue until 4/20, opening night. You can still purchase tickets at the regular price after the show opens. Pre-sale price is $10.00 students, children and senior citizens and $12.00 adults. Regular price $12.00 and $15.00, show dates 4/20, 4/21, 4/26, 4/27, 4/28 at 7:30 pm with a Sat- matinee on 4/28 at 2:00 pm. You can also purchase tickets online at www.miracostadramaboosters.org. • Cheer & Song Tryouts begin on Monday in the Cafeteria at 3:30pm. If you missed the mandatory tryout meeting but would still like to tryout, please contact Coach Jay Watson. We are gearing for a fun and exciting season. Don't miss out! Packets are available in the Main Office and online at www.mchspepsquad.com.

• Three of our AP Ceramic students (Zane Curdes, Emily White, and Stephanie Sakahara) have been selected for an exhibition of HS ceramic art at the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona, opening April 14th and running through June 30th. Support our visual art students!!!
• It’s the last day of Brain Tumor Awareness Week. And S-Club is supporting brain tumor research! FACT: There are over 120 different types of brain tumors, which make effective treatment complicated. They can be malignant or non-malignant (benign), and in either case, can be just as injurious or life threatening. At present, the standard treatments for brain tumors include surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. These may be used either individually or in combination. So please buy a BrainWaves bracelet from S-Club members for $1. Proceeds will go to BrainWave, a nonprofit which supports new kinds of research for pediatric brain tumors.
• SAT Savvy-Intensive SAT Prep Program-sign up now for the June 2nd Test Prep. Come to Room 18, 50, or the CCC for more info.
• Get your car washed and support the Costa Bands. The Mira Costa Bands’ car wash is this Sunday, 4/15 1pm-5pm. Presale tickets are $8 from a band member. Otherwise $10 on Sunday. Support you bands and wash your car!

• Animal Rights Club is collecting towels to donate to the Carson Animal Shelter. Drop off donations in the box in the office, Room 43 or Room 46. TODAY is the last day for donations.
