• This year Reflections Club is holding cover design contest. Turn in any black/white submission to Room 18 or email to [email protected]. Winner will receive a $25 gift card to Pages Book Store!
• The 12th annual student art show will be held at the Manhattan Beach Creative Arts Center, May 11th thru 19th. All students are encouraged to participate. Entries can be any medium (drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, etc.). See Ms. Martin, Mr. Reichardt, or Ms. Zask in Room 102, 107, or 116 for more information and official entry form. Deadline to submit work is April 30th.
• Attention Students: Make time on April 17th, 18th or 19th to come by the cafeteria at lunch to vote for next year’s Mira Costa Planner covers!
• Pre-sale tickets for the spring musical Fiddler on the Roof go on sale TODAY and the pre-sale price will continue until 4/20, opening night. You can still purchase tickets at the regular price after the show opens. Pre-sale price is $10.00 students, children and senior citizens and $12.00 adults. Regular price $12.00 and $15.00, show dates 4/20, 4/21, 4/26, 4/27, 4/28 at 7:30 pm with a Sat- matinee on 4/28 at 2:00 pm. You can also purchase tickets online at www.miracostadramaboosters.org. • TODAY is Dippin Dots Day. Stop by the gym afterschool to enjoy your favorite flavor for just $3.00.
• Dance Team Auditions are in a couple days!!! If you love to dance and perform, Dance Team wants you! Packets are available in the main office.
• It’s Brain Tumor Awareness Week, and S-Club is supporting brain tumor research! FACT: Metastatic brain tumors, cancer that spreads from other parts of the body to the brain, are the most common types of brain tumors. They occur in 10-15% of people with cancer. Primary brain tumors generally do not metastasize to other parts of the body. So please buy a BrainWaves bracelet from S-Club members for $1. Proceeds will go to BrainWave, a nonprofit which supports new kinds of research for pediatric brain tumors.
