STUDENT INFORMATION
• The library will be closed from 1-3 TODAY, Monday, March 5. It will reopen at 3 PM.
• The library will be closed from 2-3 on Tuesday, March 6. It will reopen at 3 PM.
• Join members of The Library Club in a virtual discussion of John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars with other clubs from across the county, on Wednesday, March 7 at 3:00 PM. Everyone who has read the book is welcome and refreshments will be served.
• TLC: The Library Club is collecting new and gently used books for a local facility in need. Please bring your donations to the library or main office by Friday, March 9.
• Do you have a passion for design, photography or writing? The Hoofprints Yearbook program is now accepting applications. Come to Room 9 at lunch on Wed., March 8th to learn more.
• It’s time to vote for California Young Reader Medal book nominees. Come by the library to vote by March 30.
For the love of reading: TLC: The Library Club is collecting books for our annual book drive to send them to a worthy charity. Please bring gently-used books to the library and deposit them in the labeled box by the door. Thanks for your support.

• This year Reflections Club is holding cover design contest. Turn in any black/white submission to Room 18 or email to [email protected] . Winner will receive a $25 gift card to Pages Book Store!
• Attention: Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors
If you received at least 3 “A”s and 1 “B” on your last report card, you may be eligible for CSF! (Sorry PE/sports or TA grades don’t count.)
Check the eligibility list and pick up an application in room 76.
• What is “California Scholarship Federation also known as CSF”? Look on our Mira Costa website under Academics to find out. Juniors and Seniors please check there for very important information!
• Neptunian Woman’s Club Art and Photo Contest is coming to a close. Deadline to turn in entries is Friday, March 9th. Please turn in submissions to Ms. Gardner in the Guidance Office.
• MCHS Cheer and Song Squad will be holding tryouts for the 2012-2013 season Monday, April 16th and Thursday, April 19th. Tryout packets are available now in the main office and online at www.mchspepsquad.com
• Mini College Fair on campus Tuesday, March 13th during Lunch!!! College representatives will set up on the wide walkaway behind the library across from the 30’s building.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATION
• Mandatory Club Council meeting tomorrow, March 6th to ensure yearbook pages! Room 40 at Lunch. Every club must send a delegate to this meeting!
• Baja Club is welcoming and looking for new members who are fun and eager to learn more about Latin American culture. Come to Room 35 during lunch.
• Ping Pong Club is back for 2nd semester! Come to the small gym TODAY at Lunch and have a great time!
• TLC: The Library Club meets Tuesday, March 6th in the library work room. We will be recording videos about a book or story that changed your world.
• S Club meets TODAY in Room 111.
• Young Democrats Club meets TODAY in Room 200. New members welcome.
• Charitable Couture meeting Tuesday! We will be discussing fashion show details so make sure you attend.
• Don’t be a manatee, come to Habitat for Humanity! Meeting this Tuesday at lunch.

SENIORS
• Seniors with Scholarship Notebooks: Be sure to come into the CCC to pick up a list of scholarships. Lists will be available in the CCC at lunch TODAY. It is your responsibility to nominate yourselves for scholarships by Monday, March 12th !!
• El Camino and Santa Monica Community Colleges are offering several scholarships to MCHS seniors with a min GPA of 3.0. Please come to the CCC for more information.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Attn. Sophomores and Juniors: A Representative from UCLA will be in the CCC Friday, March 9th during 4th period to share info about the campus and admission information. Register to attend on Naviance. Students must have prior permission from their teacher to attend.
