STUDENT INFORMATION

• Bring new or gently-used books to the library or main office for a charity book drive conducted by TLC: The Library Club. Deadline extended to March 9.

• It’s time to vote for California Young Reader Medal book nominees. Come by the library to vote by March 30.
For the love of reading: TLC: The Library Club is collecting books for our annual book drive to send them to a worthy charity. Please bring gently-used books to the library and deposit them in the labeled box by the door. Thanks for your support.

• Students mark your calendars for the following important AP information sessions:
TODAY, March 1st AP Stats in the Auditorium at lunch
Tomorrow, March 2nd AP English in Auditorium at lunch
Tuesday, March 7th AP Spanish in Room 47 at lunch
AP French in Room 206 at lunch
More meeting dates are soon to come.


• Have you ever wanted to see your teachers get down? Come out TONIGHT, March 1st at 7pm in the auditorium to see your teachers pop, twist and snap. Now it’s your turn to judge their performance at Costa’s First annual Dancing With The Teachers!!!!!!!!!. Tickets on sale beginning February 27th during lunch in front of the student store and at the door, $4.00 with ASB sticker and $5.00 without.

• Tickets are available for the musical Billy Elliot on Friday, May 11th cost is $74.00. Money due by tomorrow, March 2nd see Ms. Mathews Room 1.

• Have you read John Green's Fault in Our Stars? Join TLC: The Library Club in a discussion about the book with other library book groups from across the country on Wednesday, March 7 at 3:00 PM in the library. Ask at the library for more information. Don't forgot to vote for California Young Reader Medal nominees by March 30. All participants will be entered in a drawing to win a gift certificate.

• This year Reflections Club is holding cover design contest. Turn in any black/white submission to Room 18 or email to [email protected] . Winner will receive a $25 gift card to Pages Book Store!

• It’s time for the annual student planner cover contest! 3 winning designs will be voted upon. Submit 5 x 8 artwork by March 30 to admin office!

• Stand out from the crowd when applying for college: join the Mustang Morning News Staff. Applications are now being accepted. See Mr. Hernandez in Room 108 for details.
• Attention: Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors
If you received at least 3 “A”s and 1 “B” on your last report card, you may be eligible for CSF! (Sorry PE/sports or TA grades don’t count.)
Check the eligibility list and pick up an application in room 76.

• Neptunian Woman’s Club Art and Photo Contest is coming to a close. Deadline to turn in entries is Friday, March 9th. Please turn in submissions to Ms. Gardner in the Guidance Office.

• TODAY is Dippin Dots Day. Stop by the gym after school to enjoy your favorite flavor for just $3.00.

• Looking for an exciting excursion to Belize come get more information in Room 123 at Lunch on Friday, March 2nd.


CLUBS / ORGANIZATION

• Attention NHS Members: This week’s monthly meeting has been cancelled. Instead of meeting as one group, we will work on our chapter projects in committees and then reconvene in April.

• Come to Amnesty International, Tuesdays in Mr. Calderon’s Room 72 during Lunch.

• This year Reflections Club is holding cover design contest. Turn in any black/white submission to Room 18 or email to [email protected] . Winner will receive a $25 gift card to Pages Book Store!

• Come support H2O For Life Club at CPK TODAY. You must bring a flyer which is available in the office.

• Come to Ronald McDonald House Club TODAY in Room 3. Help support the families of sick children!

• Friendship Circle at Lunch TODAY Room 114.

• Mandatory Club Council meeting on Tuesday, March 6th to ensure yearbook pages! Room 40 at lunch. Every club must send a delegate to this meeting!

• The NHS Committee for staff and volunteer recognition will meet this Friday, March 2 at lunch in Room 32.

• The NHS Committee on painting Waller Stadium will meet TODAY at lunch in Room 32.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Attn: Juniors: Catalyst is holding a SAT Boot camp at MCHS on Saturday, March 3rd and Sunday, March 4th from 9am -1pm both days, to prepare students for the March 10th SAT.
