STUDENT INFORMATION
• Girls Lacrosse will have tryouts this Friday, January 27th after 6th period finals. Please come out to the stadium field with your gear and a mouth guard. Tryouts will be from about 12:30- 1:45.
• The second semester begins on Monday, January 30th. Students need to pick up your schedule before class on Monday. Schedules can be picked up after 7am at the following locations: Seniors- Gym, Juniors- Attendance Office, Sophomores- Student Store, Freshmen- Cafeteria.
• AP Students: Sign ups for the Advanced Placement exams will take place January 30th through February 3rd during lunch only at the student store. Late registration will be held on February 6th through 10th. A $15.00 late fee for each exam will be charged. Be sure to bring your completed worksheet indicating the exams you will be taking, cash or check made out to MCHS to cover the costs and a pen to complete the official registration form.
• Bus Pick-up for So Cal ROC is now at Peck & Nelson, due to construction. Any questions, see Pat Morrow at So Cal ROC Campus.
• Winter Formal tickets will be on sale all this week. We will be selling during lunch TODAY, and at snack and at 12:20 in Room 43 on Friday. Prices can be found on the back of the form. Don’t miss the boat!
• Students in semester classes: Please remember that your semester textbooks are due on the last day of the semester, January 27. You can bring your books in to the library right after your finals. Students who turn in textbooks late will be charged a $5 per book fine. Also, remember that you must have your ID with you to check out new semester books on Monday.
• Reminder to Costa students from MBMS: You are not allowed to visit the MBMS campus during school hours (8:00 am to 3:00 pm)
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• Young at Heart Club in Room 50. Come and reach out to your community through helping senior citizens.
• Lend a Hand Club meeting TODAY in Room 41. Remember to bring your hour sheets!

• Mid-Year Reports: Most colleges using the Common Application (and many other colleges) require a mid-year transcript showing first semester grades. It is each student’s responsibility to check to see if you are required to submit this information. Requests for transcripts and mid-year reports must be submitted to your Guidance Counselor by Feb. 1st. Students must submit a list of the colleges needing mid-year reports and transcripts along with a receipt.
• Scholarship Notebook Meeting added Monday, January 30th at lunch in the CCC. This is the last time seniors may attend a scholarship notebook information meeting required to complete a notebook. Notebook cost of $7 includes three notebooks and three transcripts.
