• Tomorrow is Class Colors Day! Seniors are Green! Juniors are purple! Sophomores are Blue! Freshmen are Red! Wear your colors and come to the quad at lunch!
• Early Bird discount for the Winter Formal is extended until this Friday! Buy tickets at the student store TODAY.
• This week PACE is presenting a poster campaign to raise awareness about cancer and how it is such a big part of our everyday lives. PACE invites you look for these posters around Costa as you walk around campus, and to think about how this information may help put your own life in perspective as well as the lives of those around you.
• Congratulations to Mira Hall, runner up, and Taylor Howat, winner of Mira Costa’s first ever Poetry Out Loud Competition! Taylor advances to the county-level competition Wed., Jan. 25th. Go Taylor!
• SAT Savvy Sign Ups are here. Intensive SAT Prep Program is at MCHS. Includes 18 hours of instruction, 4 practice tests and taught by actual teachers. For more info go to www.satsavvy.info or Room 18, 50 or CCC.
• Anyone interested in playing JV or Varsity Ice Hockey should attend an important meeting in Room 44 at lunch on Friday.
• Spirit Week to honor Winter Sports this week! Wednesday: NFL & NCAA gear! Thursday: Class Colors! Friday: Stampede Green & Gold! Class color competitions all week at lunch and pep rally on Friday! Don’t miss out!
• Voting is now open for this year's California Young Reader Medal nominees. Come to the library to vote for your favorite and have a chance to win a gift certificate. You have until March 30 to read and vote for Beastly, Graceling, or If I Stay.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS

• Come to Room 33 at lunch every Wednesday and help save lives at Premature Baby Protection Club!
• Cooking Club is Thurs. in Room 5 during lunch. It’s Italian week. Everyone is welcome.

SPORTS
• Come out and watch the Mustang Wrestlers compete against Peninsula this Thursday the 19th in the team's only home league dual meet this season. Start time is 3pm. GO MUSTANGS!!
SENIORS
• Mid-Year Reports: Most colleges using the Common Application (and many other colleges) require a mid-year transcript showing first semester grades. It is each student’s responsibility to check to see if you are required to submit this information. Requests for transcripts and mid-year reports must be submitted to your Guidance Counselor by Feb. 1st. Students must submit a list of the colleges needing mid-year reports and transcripts along with a receipt
