STUDENT INFORMATION
• Reminder Parents and Students: Starting TODAY, October 24, ALL Mira Costa campus parking spots will be by permit only. Visitor parking is limited to visitor designated spots and street parking only. Please plan accordingly when visiting campus.
• STUDENT PARKING LOTTERY:
MCHS will be holding a lottery for the remaining 20 student parking spots in the Peck parking lot. Eligible students may enter their name in the drawing at the attendance office from TODAY through WED, 10/26/11; one entry per student. Entry forms are available in the attendance office during passing period, snack and lunch only. The drawing for the spots will be held in front of the administration building at lunch on FRI, 10/28/11. Winners need not be present to win and will be notified on TUE, 11/1/11.
• PARKING LOT CLOSURE REMINDER:
The Peck Faculty parking lot is NOW closed for construction of the new math/science building. The lot will be closed for approximately 18 months while the construction is in progress. Please make alternate arrangements for drop off and pick up. The west drop off zone runs along Meadows on the school side of the street from Keats to the north end of campus. The east drop off zone runs along the school side of Peck from Stadium Way to the stop sign at Nelson (formerly the entrance to the Peck Faculty lot). Please leave extra time in your morning and afternoon drop off routines to adjust for the new traffic patterns.
• Don’t forget to participate in our Teen Read Month Contests. Ask at the library for details.
• The library will be closed for individual student visits during the school day this Thursday and Friday while Mrs. Lofton attends a conference. It will be open after school on Thursday as usual, but will not be open before school or during Snack or Lunch on Thursday and Friday.
• If you have lost or misplaced your ID card, please see Mr. Toth in Room 49b at snack or lunch to get a replacement receipt. Cost to replace is $10. Bring the receipt to Ms. Gardner in the Admin Office to get a new card. New cards will be processed before and after school or during snack and lunch. In addition, if you have money on a food account, please notify Food Service of a lost card so that they can put an alert on your account to deny unauthorized users.
