STUDENT INFORMATION
• Student Make up picture day, Wednesday, September 28th from 8am to 3pm in the auditorium. For retakes, please return your old photos at time of new ones being taken.
• Attention Students: Proof of TDAP vaccination is due to the health office no later than September 28. Students who do not submit verification of immunization will not be allowed to attend classes beginning Monday, October 3rd.
• Manhattan Beach is turning 100 and the Centennial Committee wants you to volunteer at our Hometown Fair booth this weekend. Go to mb100.org to sign up
• Ping Pong Tournament will start TODAY at lunch in the small gym. The bracket is hanging outside room 40
• This is Banned Book Week, a national celebration supporting the right to read what you choose. Come by the library to see our Banned Books display. Also, come see our great "Art of the Surf" and repurposed books displays done by Mira Costa Art students.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• Come Fiesta with us Salsa Style! Room 48 this Wednesday! We will be serving chips and salsa.
• Come to Improv Club at lunch TODAY if your stomach likes to uncontrollably jiggle! If that diaphragm of yours likes to get its groove on!
• Relay for Life Club meets TODAY at lunch in Room 45 and is looking for new members.
• Come to Animal Rights Club TODAY at lunch in Room 46
• Meeting TODAY- don’t forget to bring $15.00 for t shirts, we will also be doing homecoming nominations.
• Come to Room 1 on Wednesday at lunch for Drama Club.
• Come to Habitat for Humanity Club TODAY at lunch in Room 20 for a fun, hands on experience! New members are welcome!
• Attention: Key Club and interested students, there will be a meeting TODAY to discuss the hometown fair booth and shifts. This is a great chance to get community service hours. Come to Room 61 at lunch to get a shift!
• Come to Jewish Cultural Club TODAY and every Tuesday in Room 200 at lunch

• Baja Club will be meeting this Wed. in Room 35 due to no school on Thursday.

• Come to an informational meeting about joining MCHS Science Olympiad Squad to see if you are the solute to our solvent, tomorrow at lunch in Ms. Whitlock’s room 77.
• TLC: The Library Club meets in the library workroom during lunch today. Bring your lunch. New members, interested in books and in supporting library programs, are welcome.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• College Fair at Mira Costa on Tuesday, October 4 from 7 – 9 pm! Come hear from over 130 college reps!
Seniors are admitted at 7 pm. All other students enter at 7:30. Parents and family members are admitted at 8 pm. Location: Mira Costa gyms.
• College Knowledge Night – TODAY, September 27 from 7 – 9 pm in the auditorium. Come hear a short overview of college admissions, then choose from 2 of the 4 presentations to attend: admissions at the UCs, Cal States, and private colleges, and a timeline of standardized testing. All parents and students are invited to attend.

FACULTY
• The employee packet from the District Office was put in your mailbox. Return the completed 2-sided district form (Emergency Form and Checklist) to the Principal secretary box in the mail room by Wednesday, September 28th.
• Makeup picture day is Wednesday, September 28 from 8-3 in Auditorium. Reminder, this is for your ID’s and is also the picture that will be used in the Year book.
