• Reminder: Wednesday, April 20 will be a Department Meeting Schedule, Zero period does not meet
• AP Students; the final three AP Exam pre-identification sessions are scheduled as follows:
Monday, April 18 7:00 pm Small Gym
Tuesday, April 19 7:30 pm Small Gym
Wednesday, April 27 3:30 pm Small Gym
Each meting will last approximately 40 minutes. Students must attend one and need to be on time, bring a #2 pencil and something (a clipboard, book, etc.) on which to write.
• La Vista is at it again with its annual photo contest. Submit photos for categories of person, place or thing. If you win we will swag you out with great prizes. Submit to the La Vista room before April 20th during 4th period or lunch.
• It’s not too late to sign up to attend an assembly with D.J. MacHale Tuesday, April 19, during Period 3 or 4. Come by the library today for a permission form. Also plan to buy one of his books and get it signed. You can purchase books in the library foyer on Tuesday.
• SAT Savvy Prep Class-Register for the 3rd and final session by April 22nd to get the discount. Come to Room 18, 50, or CCC for more info.
• Reminder: The Scholar Breakfast in on Tuesday, April 19th at 7:00 pm in the Cafeteria. If you received an invite, please attend.
• If you live to dance don’t forget Dance Team tryouts are next week Monday through Thursday April 18-22 from 3:30 to 5:30 in the cafeteria!
• National Honor Society is having a book drive! Please bring any elementary level books to Room 32 by May 9th. Thank you!
• Spain Trip 2010!!!! Come to Room 48 on Wednesday at lunch for more info.
• Don’t delay! Sign up TODAY for the UC/CSU approved Fashion Design course this summer at Mira Costa High School. Have fun while you learn about the exciting, fast-paced fashion industry. CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• Do you want to cheer your Mustangs on to victory next year? Do you love to dance? Well here’s your chance to take your talents and share them with us all. Tryouts for the MCHS Cheer and Song Squads are just around the corner. Pick up a tryout packet in the Main Office or visit our website www.mchspepsquad.com.
• Join the Mira Costa High School team for the Richstone Pier to Pier Walkathon fundraiser at Chipotle restaurant in Hermosa 50% of your purchase will be donated to Richstone Family Center. Get a flyer from Heart to Art to participate.
• Young Democrats will be having a guest speaker from Janice Hahn for congress campaign TODAY at lunch. Pizza and refreshments will be served. Meet in Mr. Fauver’s room 200.
• Do you like turtles? Well come join the Eco Club in Room 73 at lunch. All new members are welcome.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Seniors signing up for Art scholarships should bring in a CD or portfolio of your art work. The CCC will submit your art along with your scholarship notebook to the various art scholarship donors.
• El Camino will be administering English and Math Placement Tests TODAY, Monday, 4/18 and Thursday, 4/21 during periods 5 and 6 in the computer lab. Sign up in the CCC.
