STUDENT INFORMATION
• Presentations about the course expectations for AP and Honors courses are being held over the next few weeks during lunch. If you are interested in taking any AP or Honors course you must attend the meeting for that course. The following is a list of dates for all of the course's presentations:
TODAY, March 3rd: AP Environmental Science – Room 65
AP Computer Science- Room 12
Friday, March 4th: AP Music Theory – Room 2
For information regarding AP and Honors Chemistry, please contact Mrs. Shales-Clark or Mr. Bartlett.
• Submissions for Reflections Literary Magazine are due this Friday, March 4th. Submit your poems, stories, and photographs to Room 18 or email [email protected].
• The California Scholarship Federation Membership Drive is March 1 – 18th
Applications may be picked up in room 76 or in the front office beginning March 1st. All applications must be turned in to Mrs. Cunningham in room 76 by the March 18th deadline.
CSF Seniors: Don’t forget this membership period is the last one you need to become a sealbearer at graduation!
• To all who submitted entries for the Reflections Art Contest, please pick up your work in the Guidance Office as soon as possible. Thank you.
• The annual student art show will be held at the M.B Creative arts center April 23rd – May 5th. All students are encouraged to participate. Entries can be medium. Deadline to submit work is April 1st see Ms. Martin, Mr. Reichardt, or Ms. Zask Room 116, 107, or 102 for more info and official entry form. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
• All students interested in participating in this years Tole Mour trip, come to Mr. Coller’s Room, Room 63 during lunch on Friday.
• SAT Savvy Intensive Test Prep-Register for session 2 now for the May 7th test. Info available in the CCC, Room 18, or Room 50.
• Student art finalists who submitted entries for the Neptunian Art Contest are requested to pick up their submissions as soon as possible from the Guidance Office. Thank you.
• The dance team’s annual Lip Sync contest is TONIGHT at 7pm in the auditorium. Tickets will be for sale at the door.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• If you are interested in joining the yearbook staff next year, there will be an informational meeting TODAY, March 3rd in the yearbook room, Room 9.
• Come to Girls League TODAY at lunch in Room 34.
• Attention NHS members: We will have our next mandatory, all-member meeting this Friday at lunch in the auditorium. If you missed our last meeting at the beginning of February, don’t forget to stop by Room 32.
• Invisible Children Club TODAY at lunch in Room 46. Yearbook picture will be taken.
• New Life Christian Club meeting TODAY in Mrs. Manago’s room, Room 66.
• Come to Lend a Hand Club TODAY at lunch in Room 41 and join in our effort to aid the homeless.

• The lunchtime Ping Pong tournament starts TODAY see the bracket outside of Room 40 to find out when you are playing.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
FACULTY
• Please dismiss all Badminton Players (Varsity & JV) at 2:00pm TODAY and Friday. We have 2 separate school matches!
• One department chair in each department should have a packet for Student of the Year materials in their box. Please notify Bill Fauver if you didn’t receive one. There will be a special meeting to select the Student of the Year on Thursday, March 8th at 2:15 in the guidance conference Room. Please have at least one department chair attend that short but important meeting.
• TODAY is Recycling Thursday. Please have a student take your classroom bin to the recycling center on Stadium Way behind Room 74. Thank you.
• Please excuse the Track Team from 5th period TODAY. They will be leaving during lunch for a meet in Downey. Thank you.
