STUDENT INFORMATION
• Presentations about the course expectations for AP and Honors courses are being held over the next few weeks during lunch. If you are interested in taking any AP or Honors course you must attend the meeting for that course. The following is a list of dates for all of the course's presentations:
TODAY, February 28th: AP Art History – Room 120
Tuesday, March 1st: AP Biology - Auditorium
Wednesday, March 2nd: AP Physics – Room 74
Thursday, March 3rd: AP Environmental Science – Room 65
Thursday, March 3rd: AP Computer Science- Room 12
Friday, March 4th: AP Music Theory – Room 2

• Come by the library this week to see the display of great love stories organized by TLC: The Library Club. And, please have a heart. Return any overdue books NOW so that other students have a chance to borrow them. The library currently has a moratorium on fines. Get your books in right away before the moratorium ends.
• WANT THE PRESTEIGE of having YOUR ART on the cover of MIRA COSTA’s STUDENT PLANNER NEXT YEAR AND WIN a $100 American Express GIFT CERTIFICATE? 3 Mira Costa students’ art will be featured on next year’s student planner cover, and each of the 3 artists will win a $100 American Express gift card!
To enter, submit your vision of Mira Costa in any medium (pencil, paint, graphics, etc.) in a 5 x 8 format to Shari Humphrey in the admin. bldg. by March 31st. Express yourself using any colors, designs, and school appropriate creativity. All entries will be displayed, and faculty and students will each have 1 vote to nominate the three winners. The contest is open to all current Mira Costa students. Previously submitted designs are welcome. You may enter as many pieces as you want.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• To all Club Presidents and advisors, it is vital that you attend an emergency club council meeting regarding our California Distinguished School Application. The meeting will be in Room 40 TODAY, February 28th.
• If you are interested in joining the yearbook staff next year, there will be an informational meeting Thursday, March 3rd in the yearbook room, Room 9.
• Reflections will meet TODAY during lunch in Room 18. Everyone is welcome to come and vote on submissions for Mira Costa’s Literary magazine.
• Come join Eco Club in Room 73 at lunch TODAY. All new members are welcome.

• Are you 18? Come register to vote! Wednesday March 2nd in the quad.
