STUDENT INFORMATION
• It’s time for the Neptunian Woman’s Club Art and Photo contest! Entry forms are available in the office or from Ms. Zask, Mr. Reichardt, Ms. Martin, Mr. Mellis’ room or Mr. Hernandez. Deadline to turn in entries is Tuesday January 18th, 2011.
• PSAT results will be distributed TODAY, December 16th during snack and lunch in the Auditorium Foyer. Please be sure to come by and pick up your results. Thank you!
• There will be an introduction meeting for all students interested in the badminton team at lunch TODAY December 16th in Room 57.
• Tis the season to get ugly. Don’t forget to wear your ugly sweaters this Friday, December 17th!
• Neptunian Woman’s Club Music and Writing Contest - The Neptunian Woman's Club of Manhattan Beach is participating in a statewide music and writing contest sponsored by the General Federation of Woman's Clubs and the Marina District #18 of the California Federation of Woman's Clubs. For the music contest, categories are Vocalist, Pianist, and Instrumentalist. Entries must be submitted on a CD and will not be returned. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2010. Applications can be picked up in the office or can be printed off the Mira Costa website.

• SAT SAVVY Prep class- sign up now for the March 1st exam. You get 18 hours of instruction, 4 practice test, it is here on campus! Come to Room 18 or 50 for more info.
• Reminder: Winter break December 20th-31st. Mira Costa High School and Admin. Office will be closed.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS

• Come to Gay Straight Alliance TODAY at lunch!
• Come to Lend a Hand Club TODAY at lunch in Room 41. Join in on our effort to aid the homeless.
• New Life Christian Club TODAY at lunch in Room 66. All are welcome.
SENIORS
• Attn Seniors: If you applied to Cal State San Marcos, Cal State Monterey Bay or Cal State Channel Islands you need to submit an official transcript in order for your application to be considered complete.
The due dates are:
Channel Islands – transcript due by Jan. 31
Other Cal State campuses will notify you through your web portal account if they need a transcript.
SPORTS
• If you are interested in participating in the Soccer Tournament that will take place after Break, see Mrs. Claypoole in Room 43. 5 people per team, 1 alternate, 1 girl/boy, 3 varsity players max, $10 per team.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Attention Juniors: PJ Test Prep is offering free SAT or ACT practice tests for our students. The tests are being administered on Sun., Jan. 16th and Sat., Jan 22nd. RSVP at www.pjtestprep.com. More info is available in the CCC.
