STUDENT INFORMATION.


• PTA’s Reflections Art contest is accepting your Art Photography, Film, Literature, Musical Composition or Dance Choreography entries. This year’s theme is “Together We Can” rules and forms are in the office. Deadline for submissions is this Friday, November 19th by 3pm.

• Boys Basketball-tryouts for any boy who played a fall sport and has not previously tried out will be TODAY, November 16th. Frosh @ 5-6:30 in small gym; JV’s 6:30-8:00 at MBMS.

• The library will be closed throughout the school day TODAY, while district nurses conduct hearing tests. It will re-open from 3-5.

• Congratulations to the Mira Costa Cheer Squad for a fantastic job and earning a bid to the National High School Cheerleading Championships at the Walt Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida, while competing at the UCA Regional at UC Irvine this past weekend. Great job ladies! We are all so proud of you!

• Reminder: Tomorrow, we are on a Faculty Meeting Schedule. Zero period does meet. First period starts at 9 am.


CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS

• TLC: The Library Club is holding a special meeting in the library meeting room during lunch on Thursday. New members are welcome. If you are unable to attend this important meeting please see Mrs. Lofton by Friday in order to let her know your committee preference and contact information.

• Animal Rights Club meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 46.

• 1- Any person who wanted to start a club this year must turn in the paperwork, including by-laws by this Friday, November 19th.
2- The last day of club presentations will be Monday, November 29th at 5:00 pm.
3- No new clubs will be chartered until next fall 2011-2012.

• H20 For Life Club meets in Room 61 during lunch TODAY.

• Come to Habitat for Humanity Club TODAY at lunch in Room 20. Remember to bring your t-shirt money!!

• Come to Room 5 at lunch TODAY and join in on Team LA’s discussions and festivities.

• Friendship Circle meets TODAY in Room 114! All are welcome!



SENIORS

• Senior class picture has been rescheduled for TODAY, 9:30 am at Waller Stadium.

• Attention Seniors! The first deadline for senior ads is this Friday! Turn in completed AD and contract by Friday, November 19th to receive your 15% discount. Feel free to email [email protected] if you have any questions.

• All students who do not have a 5th and 6th period are invited to attend BMW’s Teen Driving School TODAY at the Home Depot Center from 12:30 to 2:30, see Cindy Gardner in the Guidance Office for details and a flyer.


SPORTS

• Boys Water Polo heads to CIF Semi finals this Wednesday. The Mustangs will face off against Laguna Beach at 3:30 pm at UC Irvine’s Woollet Aquatics Center: Come on out and support the team.

• Mustang Football heads in to CIF playoffs this Friday. We will host Moorpark at 7:30 pm in Waller Stadium. Tickets will be on sale at lunch on Thursday and Friday in the student store as well as at the gate Friday night. Adult tickets are $8 and student/children 12 and under are $5. Come out and support the Mustangs.

• Please release seniors TODAY at 9:30 am for Class picture at Waller Stadium.

• Attention Teachers, if you are still interested in Adopt-a-family it was due last Friday but you can still turn in your papers TODAY, November 16th by 2:00 to Room 43.
