STUDENT INFORMATION
• Don’t forget to participate in the library Banned Books week contest and give your input in the library student survey. The deadline for both has been extended until October 8th.
• Hey Costa! We would like everyone to wear Green and Gold on Friday to support our fall sports.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• Animal Rights Club meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 46.
• Come to Room 5 at lunch TODAY and join in on Team LA’s discussions and festivities.
• Habitat for Humanity Club meets TODAY in Room 20. New members are welcome!
• Join Reflections Club which meets every Monday in Room 18 or turn in submissions to the Reflections box.
• Young Republicans Club will be meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 18. All are welcome.

• Reminder: Deadlines to submit all materials:
Early Decisions, Early Action, or Restrictive Early Action ARE DUE NOW!! November 10th for Regular Decision Applications with a deadline of Dec.1-31. December 1st for Regular Decision and Rolling Admission Applications with deadlines after Dec. 31.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Seniors and Juniors- Many colleges and universities are coming to campus. For a list of schools and to sign up to attend these presentations, log onto Naviance and click on colleges. Your Naviance user name is your first and last name (no spaces) and your password is your 5 digit Costa ID. Make sure to get prior permission from your teacher before attending these college presentations.
• Community Helpline is taking applications for their next training course. Students will earn 45 hours of community service will attending training and then additional hours for time volunteering. This is a great community service opportunity. Come to the CCC for more information.
• The College Fair is TODAY, October 5th at Redondo Union High School in the gym. Seniors are welcome at 7 p.m. with ID. All other students can enter at 7:30. The College Fair lasts until 9 p.m.
• Come hear Paul Kanarek talk about college admissions on Thursday, October 7th at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Mr. Kanarek brings levity to this often stressful process. Your college counselors will also be addressing course options for college admissions starting at 6:30, right before Mr. Kanarek speaks. All parents and students are welcome.
