STUDENT INFORMATION
• If you ordered Mira Costa Spirit wear before the beginning of school, please pick up at the student store during lunch TODAY-Friday, 24th. Orders that are not picked up this week will be distributed the week of October 18th.
• All AP 2010 Chemistry Graduates! Your Dinner is on Sunday 9/26 at 6:00 pm. See you there!
• Attention all current Juniors at Seniors interested in National Honors Society: We are currently accepting applications for the new school year. You must have a 3.6 academic unweighted GPA to be eligible to apply. Applications are available on the school website. Current NHS members need not re-apply. The deadline for all application materials is October 1st; please submit applications to the new NHS faculty advisor, Mrs. Wachell, in Room 32.
• Any student who is sick MUST go to the Health office to be released from school. The attendance office will not release you.
• Students who ordered Yearbooks last year and didn’t pick them up, please pick up your Yearbook in Room 49b during snack or lunch.
• New student mixer grades 10-12 TODAY at lunch in front of the auditorium. Sponsored by ASB.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• There will not be a Cooking Club meeting TODAY, we’ll see you next Wednesday at lunch in Room 5.

• Do you like Baseball and would like to help spread it to others? Then come to SFB Club in Mr. Olsen’s room, Room 103 TODAY at lunch.

SENIORS
• Attention Seniors! Senior Best forms will be distributed Tuesday September 28th in your English class so be thinking of who you want to vote for!
SPORTS
• Boys Golf tryouts TODAY, 9/22 at 2pm!! Check in with Coach Timberlake in Room 202 to verify attendance!!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Seniors and Juniors- Many colleges and universities are coming to campus. For a list of schools and to sign up to attend these presentations, log onto Naviance and click on colleges. Your Naviance user name is your first and last name (no spaces) and your password is your 5 digit Costa ID. Make sure to get prior permission from your teacher before attending these college presentations.
• The Washington University St. Louis Danforth Scholarship is offered to students who have exhibited service and leadership, academic excellence, and taken a rigorous academic curriculum. They are particularly looking for students who exhibit maturity and selflessness. If you would like to be considered for this scholarship, come to the CCC by September 30.
• TODAY is the last opportunity to register for the PLAN or PSAT test. Late registration is $35 at lunch in the student store.
• Community Helpline is taking applications for their next training course. Students will earn 45 hours of Community service while attending training and then additional hours for time volunteering. This is a great community service opportunity. Come to the CCC for more information.
