STUDENT INFORMATION
• Any student who paid for a yearbook or ASB sticker and did not get a stamp on their ID can come to the Guidance office during snack/lunch or after school for a reprinted card.
• Detention schedule will begin TODAY. Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15- 4:15, Room 101, Tuesdays and Thursdays 7am, Room 101.
• Starting TODAY, the library will be open extended hours from 7:30 am -5:00 pm. Monday-Thursday and 7:30 am-3:00 pm on Friday. You are welcome to visit without a pass before school, after school, nutrition and lunch. During class, please get a pass from your teacher.
• Students that have an “excused 0, 1st 5th or 6th period” or surf team on their schedule need to come to the Guidance Office to get an “Off-Grounds sticker” placed on their student ID card. Off-Grounds will be issued before school, at snack, at lunch or after school only. Please do not come during class time. If you are stopped by the police without the Off-Grounds sticker on your ID card, you may be subject to a truancy citation.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• Reflections Literary Magazine meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 18. All are welcome!
• First Eco Club meeting of the year. All are welcome to save the whales.
• Tomorrow will be the first meeting of the year for friendship circle. In Room 43 at lunch. All are welcome!
• First Animal Rights Club meeting tomorrow at lunch in Room 46. Returning members must come, and new members always welcome!
• Love community service and looking for a way to get more involved? Come see what S-club is all about! There will be a meeting today at lunch in Room 111. New and returning members are welcome.

SPORTS
• Girls Basketball Tryouts: Tuesday, Sept 14th,3:00-4:00 in the big gym and Wednesday, Sept 15th,4:30-5:30 in the small gym
• Boys Basketball tryouts for all new students who are not in a fall sport will be Tuesday, 9/14 at 6pm in the main gym. Students who are in a fall sport will have an opportunity to tryout at the end of the fall season.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• SCROC classes begin TODAY. You must bring your confirmation letter to class the first day. Sign up to see Mrs. Morrow in the CCC if you have questions
• PSAT and PLAN Test Registration will take place TODAY thru September 17th in the student store. Cost is $25 per exam. Space is limited so sign up early to guarantee a spot. Late Registration will take place September 20-22 in the student store. Cost will be $35 per exam. There will be no registration allowed after Sept. 22nd. The PLAN test will be given on Sat., Oct. 9th at 8am and is for sophomores only. The PSAT test will be given on Sat., Oct. 16th at 8am. The PSAT is designed for juniors, but sophomores and freshman are allowed to take the exam. It is recommended that you are in Algebra 3-4 or higher if taking the PSAT.
• Seniors and Juniors- Many colleges and universities are coming to campus. For a list of schools and to sign up to attend these presentations, log onto Naviance and click on colleges. Your Naviance user name is your first and last name (no spaces) and your password is your 5 digit Costa ID. Make sure to get prior permission from your teacher before attending these college presentations.

• The Washington University St. Louis Danforth Scholarship is offered to students who have exhibited service and leadership, academic excellence, and taken a rigorous academic curriculum. They are particularly looking for students who exhibit maturity and selflessness. If you would like to be considered for this scholarship, come to the CCC by September 30.
