• Volunteer Opportunity - Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair, October 2-3, 2010 10-6pm. Volunteers are needed to help in Kid Country. Kid Country offers the free activities for children and includes pony rides, bouncy bounces, "wild" animal show, Velcro wall and other exciting adventures. Shifts are two hours long – students can work as many as you wish. Students will earn Community Service credits as well as get a Fair Tee shirt for your work. • Any girls interested in trying out for the Girls Golf team need to contact Mr. Hands in Room 37 ASAP. Season is starting next week, practice already in progress.
“Deadline: Friday, September 3rd.
• Fall Track Tryouts: Friday, Sept. 3rd at 3:15pm. Come dressed to run and check in with Coach Fish when you arrive.
• Girls Cross Country Tryouts will be held on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 4pm, Friday, Sept. 3rd at 3pm, and Saturday, Sept. 4th at 10am. Meet Coach Williams-Smith at the Meadows ramp of Stadium Way to try out. Runners must attend all three days of tryouts.
• Girls Soccer Tryouts Sept. 7th thru Sept 10th at 3pm on bleachers. Bring running shoes and cleats.
