STUDENT INFORMATION

• Pasta for Pennies is now taking place through May 28th in your 2nd period classes. Bring in money to donate to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. The class who collects the most money gets an Olive Garden catered pasta Party!

• Prom tickets are now on sale at the student store during lunch. Pick up a form in Room 43, find a date, and buy your bid! This week only prices are $170/couple and $90/individual with an ASB sticker, and $180/ couple and $95/individual without an ASB sticker. The LAST day to buy tickets is this Friday, May 28th so hurry up and buy tickets to the 2010 MCHS Prom surely an “Affair to Remember”.

• ATTENTION next year’s Juniors and Seniors: Now is your chance to sign up for student parking next year. Come to the Guidance Office before/after school or during snack or lunch to sign up. Students are not allowed to sign up for their friends.

• Students: Don’t forget to turn your summer reading Book Order Forms in to your Homeroom teacher by this Friday, May 28th. Order your summer reading books and your books will be delivered to your Homeroom, It’s as easy as that. Absolute deadline this Friday!

• Please check the list posted in the front office windows to see if you have purchased a 2009-2010 yearbook. If you are not on the list, you can go to Mr. Toth’s office in 49B and purchase a book for $87 in cash only. There are only 100 books left so they are on a first come first serve basis.

• Students, faculty and staff: Please assist with the search for your new principal. Dr. Rohrer, and our new superintendent will be available in the library at lunch TODAY to receive your comments and advice regarding qualifications desirable in your new leader.

• Sign-ups for the Dodgeball Tournament will take place this week. Sign-ups will be outside the student store at lunch. There will be 5 people per team and the cost will be $10 per team.

• Scholar Quiz: We still have room for 13 more teams for the first day of Scholar Quiz. You can sign up in the office until Friday at 3:00pm. See Mrs. Glunt ONLY in the Administrative Office.

• All Teams-Check the ladder posted outside the ASB room on Tuesday morning for your room assignments. Good luck teams!




CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS

• Calling all Improv lovers. There is a Comedy Sportz match vs. El Segundo this Friday at 7:00pm in Room 1. Tickets are $5. Get there early, seating fills up pretty much instantly.

• Thespian Club: There will be election speeches followed by elections for Thespian Board TODAY at lunch in Room 1. Rock the vote!

• Interact Club meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 67!

• Come to GSA- Gay Straight Alliance Club TODAY during Lunch! New members are always welcome!

• Christian Club TODAY at lunch in Room 201 and 202.

• Come to Foreign Film Club TODAY at lunch in Room 206!

• Girls League meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 34.

• Watch the best student films and videos at the South Bay Video Festival TONIGHT at 7pm in the Auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door.
