STUDENT INFORMATION
• TODAY is the day of silence. It is a national youth movement bringing attention to the silence faced by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students and their allies. Think about the voices you are not hearing today.
• Pre-Sale tickets for the Wiz are on sale at snack and lunch in Room 1. $10 for students and seniors and $12 for adults. At the door; seniors and students are $12 and adults are $15. Show times are April 16,17,22,23,24 at 7:30pm and matinees are at 2:00pm April 17th and 24th.
• Richstones’ annual Pier-to-Pier Walkathon is on April 24th. Don’t forget to bring your friends, family and walking shoes. Sign up either online or go to Ms. Vaughn’s room, Rm. 18, for sign up forms!
• Applications are now being accepted for the nationally award-winning Mustang Morning News staff. See Mr. Hernandez in Room 108 or download an application from our website: www.mustangmorningnews.com
• If you would like to be a commissioner on the Mira Costa’s Student Government, come to the last mandatory meeting on Thursday if you have not already attended one at lunch in Room 40!
• AP Students: The final three AP Exam pre-identification sessions are scheduled as follows:
Monday, April 19th 7:00pm Small Gym
Tuesday, April 20th 7:30pm Small Gym
Wednesday, April 28th 3:30pm Small Gym
Each meeting will last approximately 40 minutes. Students must attend one and need to be on time, bring a #2 pencil and something (a clipboard, book, etc.) on which to write.
• AP Students: Rosters for the 2010 AP Exams have now been posted on the front windows of the administration building showing room assignments and times. Please check the rosters ASAP. If you are registered and don’t see your name, please see Ms. Norris.
• This is the last chance for any students who were in Mr. Gilman’s photo class last year. If you want to pick up your folder, see Mr. Mancilla in the main office. The folders will be thrown away next week.
• Coupon for a free Amigos taco to all Costa students with ID, in attendance and present at the end of a winning Volleyball match for all home games and PV away games.
• Congratulations to the video production students Mark Duralde, Richard Martoccia, Sarah Schugel, Matt Williams, Dana Brawer and Danielle Gray. Their documentaries were selected to screen at this years Los Angeles film festival.

• Attention Mama D’s lovers, please come support Science Olympiad Club by enjoying their great Italian food on Monday, April 19th in either Hermosa or Manhattan.
• On Tuesday, April 20th, from 5:00 to 9:00pm, the MCHS Girls Lacrosse Teams are hosting a fundraiser at California Pizza Kitchen, 3280 n. Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, CA. This fundraiser is for Dine In or Take Out!! Please download our flier in this Friday’s Eblast and bring it with you in order for our program to get credit!
• Brain tumors are located in children’s control center of thought, emotions and movement, often resulting in long term side affects survivors can have physical, learning and emotional challenges that will limit the quality of their lives into adulthood. Please support brain tumor awareness by buying a brain tumor awareness bracelet for only $1, TODAY is the last day to do so.
