STUDENT INFORMATION
• Pre-Sale tickets for the Wiz are on sale at snack and lunch starting Tuesday April 13th in Room 1. $10 for students and seniors and $12 for adults. At the door; seniors and students are $12 and adults are $15.
• Richstone Stones’ annual Pier-to-Pier Walkathon is on April 24th. Don’t forget to bring your friends, family and walking shoes. Sign up either online or go to Ms. Vaughn’s room, Rm. 18, for sign up forms!
• Calling all dancers! Don’t forget dance team tryouts are April 19th through April 22nd. Packets are in the main office.
• Cheer and song Tryout Clinics started yesterday, but it’s not too late for you to join us. If you would like to tryout for the MCHS Cheer or Song Team, you can start TODAY. Come to the cafeteria today at 3:30pm and jump right in. We’ve got cheering. Yes we do. We’ve got dancing. We just need you.
• If you would like to be a commissioner on the Mira Costa’s Student Government, come to one of the mandatory meetings TODAY or Thursday at lunch in Room 40!
• AP Students: The first AP exam pre-identification session is this Thursday, April 15th at 7:00 am in Room1. The meeting will last approximately 40 minutes. Students need to be on time, and bring a #2 pencil and something to write on (a clipboard, book, etc.)
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• Come to Big Hearts Club TODAY to help the needy in the Dominican Republic.
• Attention Green Day Club! We will be meeting TODAY in Room 23 at lunch. Come by and order your club T-shirt for $15. Deadline for T-shirt orders is this Friday. Food will also be provided.
• Each year 3,750 more children-10 each day-are diagnosed with a brain tumor in the U.S. 76% of children diagnosed with a brain tumor are younger than 15. Please support brain tumor patients during this Brain Tumor Awareness week by buying an awareness bracelet.
• H2O for Life meets TODAY at Room 60.
• Mandatory meeting of the Years Young Club on Wednesday at lunch.
• Habitat for Humanity meets TODAY in Room 20
SENIORS
• Any Seniors who didn’t pick up their graduation announcements may do so
TODAY during snack and lunch only at the attendance office.
• Has there been a wonderful teacher on campus who has encouraged, inspired, and/or truly prepared your for your future? If so, NOW is the time to acknowledge and honor them. Sandacre Scholarship Program will honor 3 Mira Costa teachers at the All Awards Assembly in May. Nomination forms will be available in homerooms on Friday, April 16th! Please complete the nomination form and turn it into Mrs. Anderson on Friday, April 16th or Monday April 19th at lunch in the student store. Let your teachers know how much you appreciate them!
• Seniors! Please send in your photos for the 2010 senior slideshow. You may submit photos to the box in the office or email to [email protected] or by dropping off CD’s, USB’s with photos or printed photos. All pictures are due April 30th.
SPORTS
• Please excuse the Varsity and JV select swimmers at 1:00pm TODAY for an away swim meet against PV.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• A student representative will be here from UCLA Monday the 19th at lunch to talk with admitted students. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions.
