STUDENT INFORMATION

• Artists of Mira Costa! This is the last week for the custom cover contest for next year’s student planner! Three $100 American express gift cards will be awarded to the top 3 vote-getters, who will the see their art work on next years’ student planner cover. The rules have changed this year. Mira Costa faculty and staff will pick the top 10 entries, which will then be presented to the student body who will vote in the top 3 winners. Share your artistic vision with us! Contest rules posted around campus.

• Sophomores Class of 2012 Jostens Class Ring orders Tues/Weds March 16th and 17th during break and lunch in the Quad. Bring a $50 deposit

• Students interested in traveling to Japan during Spring Break 2011, come to TODAY’s meeting at lunch in Room 47. Arigato gozaimasu!

• Tole Mour meeting Thursday, March 11th in Room 64 for all students going on and interested in going on the trip.

• There are a few remaining spots on the France 2011 Spring Break Trip. If interested please stop by Mrs. Gonalons’ room at lunch on Friday (Room 207).

• 656 sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible to become CSF members based on last semester’s grades. The eligibility list is posted on the door of room 76. Applications may be picked up in Room 76 or in the front office. All applications must be turned in to Mrs. Cunningham in Room 76 no later than Friday, March 12th.
Attention Seniors: To become a “Seal bearer”, you must have qualified and applied for 4 semesters during your last 3 years of high school, including one semester in your senior year!


CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS

• This weekend is the Love146 Lotus Fundraiser! Stop by at anytime Saturday and 20% of your purchase will go toward helping victims of child se slavery.

• Are you interested in learning sign language? Come and learn American Sign Language in Room 125 at lunch time this Friday.

• The Pink Ribbon Club will be meeting TODAY at lunch in Mr. Bartlett’s room, Room 67.

• Years Young Club will meet at lunch on Thursday in Room 50.


SENIORS

• Applications for Senior Graduation Speeches will be available starting TODAY. If interested see Mrs. Lee-Iwai in the guidance office. Applications will be due on March 26th.

• Tickets are on sale now for the 1st annual Senior Trip to Magic Mountain. Buy your tickets now at the student store.


SPORTS

• Please excuse JV Baseball players at 1:30pm for an away game at Carson.

A representative from UC Merced will be here to talk with admitted and interested students during 4th period on Thursday, March 11th

• For Seniors who completed a Scholarship Notebook, the list of scholarships and criteria for each is now available in the CCC. You must sign up for the scholarships by March 19th, so stop in soon!
