STUDENT INFORMATION

• It’s time for the 2010-2011 Student Planner Custom Cover Contest. The top 3 covers will be selected for next year’s student planners. Complete contest rules are posted in homerooms, around campus, and in the administration building. Entries must be turned in to Shari Humphrey by Feb. 26th at 3pm.

• AP Students: Did you miss registering for the AP exams? There will be late registration TODAY at lunch only at the student store. An additional fee of $15 for each exam will be charged.

• The annual Lip Sync extravaganza is coming up on March 4th. Sign ups begin February 8th. Pick up a sign up packet in the main office.

• The dance team is looking for an MC to host the annual Lip Sync extravaganza. Contact Coach Andrea by email at [email protected] if interested.

CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS

• Do you like Anime or Manga? Japanese Modern Visual Culture Club TODAY after school in Room 76.

• Come to Operation Smile Club Tuesday at lunch in Mr. Bartlett’s Room!

• There is a mandatory S-Club meeting TODAY at lunch. We will be discussing the upcoming Walk for Haiti and distributing t-shirts, so don’t forget to bring money!


SENIORS

• Be sure to turn in your midyear report forms TODAY! Your counselors need time to complete them and return them to you this week! Also, don’t forget to order your mid-year transcripts!


SPORTS




COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

• El Camino College offers several scholarships for seniors who enroll at El Camino in the fall. Each scholarship is for $1,000 per year for two consecutive years. One is a general scholarship (minimum GPA of 3.0), one is for students who wan to study chemistry (minimum GPA of 3.5) and one is for students who want to study nursing (minimum GPA of 3.5). Financial need is not a requirement. If you would like to be nominated for any of these scholarships please sign up in the CCC by Friday, February 26.


FACULTY

• If you have kids between the ages of 5 and 9 and you’re looking for some fun activities for them during our ski week, Hammerhead Camp is offering a 25% discount to faculty members who would like send their kids to a winter session. See Jaime for details.
