STUDENT INFORMATION
• AP Students! Don’t forget to sign up to register to take your AP exams TODAY at lunch only at the student store. Please bring your worksheets filled out and a pen to complete the registration form. Checks made payable to Mira Costa High School.
• Sign-ups for the Ping-Pong Tournament will start next Monday in the quad at lunch. They will be going on all week. The cost to sign up is $2
• It’s time for the Neptunian Women’s Club Art and Photo Contest! Entry forms are available in the office or from Ms. Zask, Mr. Reichardt, Mr. Mellis, Mr. Hillger or Mr. Hernandez. Deadline to turn in entries is Thursday, Feb. 4th. Judging will take place Friday, February 5th.
• There will be a France Trip meeting this Friday at lunch in Mrs. Gonalons room for all students signed up to go this spring.
• There are no classes at So Cal ROC next Monday, Feb. 8th or the following Monday, Feb.15.
• If you have an “excused” period on your schedule go to the Guidance office to get an off-grounds sticker put on your ID card this Friday, February 5th.
• Starting this Friday the Mustang Morning News will be airing at the beginning of homeroom for about 12 minutes. Please tune in to channel 3.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• Years Young Club will meet TODAY at lunch in Room 50.
• Come to Foreign Film Club TODAY at lunch in Room 206.
• Mandatory Brementown Club meeting TODAY in the Choir Room.
• New Life Christian Club TODAY at lunch in Room 201 and 202.
• Please join in on the Walk for Haiti on February 27th. Applications for the event are available on the Costa website (S-Club).
• Beach club this Friday at lunch in Room 67. Nation ball game possibly this Friday in Hermosa Beach. Come see Mr. Bartlett for more info.
• Baby Help meeting tomorrow in Room 36! We are taking the yearbook picture! See you there!
• Do you want to learn how to talk using your hands? Now you can learn and interact with DHH students TODAY in Room 125 during lunch.
• Do you like Anime or Manga? Come to the first Japanese Modern Visual Culture Club meeting of the semester; during lunch in Room 76.
• Tri-M meeting this Friday at lunch in the Choir Room. All members please attend. Important matters will be voted on!
• Friendship circle will meet TODAY in Room 119. There will be a special treat for those who attend.

• Be sure to turn in you College mid-year report forms to your counselor by Monday. Also see the recorder to order your transcripts for these reports. Thank you.
SPORTS
• Hey There Laker Fans: Come on out to this Friday’s Girls’ Varsity basketball game against Redondo. We are having the drawing at half time to raffle off two tickets for the Lakers vs Boston game. There are a few tickets still left that people can buy that day. Tickets for the raffle are $4 per tickets or 3 tickets for $10.
• Mira Costa vs. Redondo Basketball Showdown: Don’t forget to come out to see the Mustangs face off against Redondo this Friday night in what will surely be two exciting basketball games. Girls’ Varsity begins at 6:00pm and Boys’ Varsity begins at 7:30pm. Come see if the Girls’ Varsity can clinch the Bay League title for the 3rd straight year.
• AMIGOS TACOS VICTORY GIVEAWAY REMINDER:
For each home game that Mira Costa BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL wins this year, Amigos Tacos will hand out a coupon for a FREE TACO to every Mira Costa student in attendance at that game! You must be present at the end of the game and you must show your current Mira Costa ID card. Come out and support the team and get a free taco for a win!
