STUDENT INFORMATION

• Mira Costa Choir invites you to our first Video Game Tournament Fundraiser. Saturday, January 30, 2010. Start time 11am, price $30. Tournament winner will receive $200.00. Please pick up entry form in Choir Room (RG16) and return by January 13th.

• The Mustang Morning News will be on hiatus until February 3rd. To watch episodes, visit our website: mustangmorningnews.com

• Attention Students: With finals fast approaching, don’t forget that the library is open to all students for studying after school Monday through Thursday until 5pm and free tutoring in all subjects is available during these times.


CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS

• S-Club will meet TODAY in Room 111. Don’t forget to bring you T-Shirt money!

• The New Channels Club will be meeting TODAY at lunch in Mr. Knutson’s room, Room 201.


SENIORS

• Financial Aid Presentation for Senior parents is Wednesday, January 20th at &pm in the Auditorium. A speaker will be there to talk about FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and to answer financial aid questions.

• Senior Scholarship Notebook information meetings are January 15th, and 21st in the CCC during lunch. It is mandatory for all seniors to attend one of these meetings if they are turning in a scholarship notebook.


SPORTS

• Attention: Girls Lacrosse Tryouts begin January 13-14 at 4:30pm. Meet at the bleachers.

• Boys and Girls swimming Tryouts for new students not currently enrolled in swimming and water polo are Tuesday the 12th and Wednesday the 13th at 3:00pm at the pool. Be ready to swim!




COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

• PSAT score information night on Tuesday, January 19th at 7pm in the Auditorium. A representative from Princeton Review will be here to discuss the PSAT and help students and parents understand their scores.



FACULTY

• Faculty and Administrators interested in having the Web Design class develop their or their department’s web site on the new Mira Costa web site. If interested please contact Mr. Williams by leaving a note in his box or by emailing him. The Web Design course will begin these projects during the 1st quarter of the second semester and Faculty will have an opportunity to provide content and preview the sites during this time.
