STUDENT INFORMATION
• Audition Packets are available in Room 1 for the spring musical “The Wiz”. Packets are due this Friday, January 8 and you must sign up to sing!
• Thank you to everyone who participated in the canned food drive and Operation Happiness. Congratulations to Ms. Mathews class for being the largest donors. We collected cans overall 7,633 and adopted 25 families and 50 children for gift donations.
• Mira Costa Choir invites you to our first Video Game Tournament Fundraiser. Saturday, January 30, 2010. Start time 11am, price $30. Please pick up entry form in Choir Room (RG16) and return by January 13th.
CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS
• Missing summer already? Come to Beach Club this Friday at lunch in Room 67!
• Fascinated with ASL? Want to say something in ASL to your friends and loved ones? Now you can learn and have fun. Come to the first DHH Sign Language Club January 8th in Room 125 at lunch. It’ll be fun!

• The first Badminton Booster Club will meet tomorrow in Room 57 at lunch. All students interested in trying out for the MC badminton team need to attend.
SENIORS
SPORTS
• Boys Tennis: There will be tryouts for any boys new to Mira Costa or who otherwise did not play last year on Tuesday the 12th and Wednesday the 13th from 3 to 5pm on the tennis courts. You must attend both days.
• Attention: Girls Lacrosse Tryouts begin January 13-14 at 4:30pm. Meet at the bleachers.
• Boys and Girls swimming Tryouts for new students not currently enrolled in swimming and water polo are Tuesday the 12th and Wednesday the 13th at 3:00pm at the pool. Be ready to swim!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• MCHS Alum, Mary Johnson will be in the CCC at lunch TODAY to talk with students about St. John’s in Annapolis, Maryland.
FACULTY
• Teachers: TODAY is Recycling Thursday. Please have a student take your classroom bin to the recycling center on Stadium Way behind Room 74. Thank you.
