WED 5/29 – All Awards Assembly 2nd period in the Auditorium; Senior Scenes at 7 pm in the Small Theater; Counselors to visit Hermosa Valley
THU 5/30 – Pops Concert at 7 pm in the Auditorium featuring David Benoit
FRI 5/31 – Counselors to visit MBMS; Class Competition at lunch in the Mustang Mall
FACULTY
· All Awards Assembly Wednesday, 5/29 during 2nd period. Teachers of junior/senior classes only. Attendance by sign up only. Email [email protected] with number of students in your junior/senior 2nd period class.
SENIORS
· Didn’t pick up your cap and gown on Wednesday? Come to the Administration Office during SNACK OR LUNCH ONLY. Be sure to get your senior info sheet and graduation tickets, too!
STUDENT INFO
· For those students who added Yearbook class for the 2019-2020 school year, please visit Room 102 Thursday or Friday for information on summer training.
· Last Day to Enter the Mira Costa 2019-2020 Student Planner Cover Design Contest! To enter, submit your vision of Mira Costa in any flat medium (pencil, paint, graphics, etc.) to Mrs. Heredia in Art room 62 or Mrs. Meeks in the Admin Office TODAY, last day! To account for trim, all entries must be 5.5” x 8.5” with the critical design elements in the center 4” x 7.25”. You may enter as many pieces as you like. All entries will be displayed; faculty and students will each have one vote to nominate the 3 winners. Express yourself using any colors, designs and school-appropriate creativity. Previously submitted designs are welcome.
· Come to Thailand in 2020 for Elephant Conservation and Community Service abroad. Thailand meeting next week on Tuesday, 5/28 and Friday, 5/31 in Mrs. Allen’s Room 234.
· Prom 2019 California Dreamin’ will be held June 1, 2019 at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Purchase your tickets by Friday at the Student Store or purchase a ticket voucher at the ASB Web Store, https://mchswebstore.myschoolcentral.com. Next week there will be a very limited number of prom tickets available for Costa students (no off campus guests) for cash only at the Student Store. For details and pricing see the Prom Forms which must be completed for purchase:

· Prom: If you purchased an online voucher for your prom tickets, don’t forget to return your voucher and completed prom form to Mrs. Cessor in the ASB Finance Office. If you do not complete this step, your name will not be on the list when you get to prom.
CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS
· Come to the Young Survival Coalition Club in Room 73 every other Monday to help spread awareness about breast cancer!
· Improv Club every Tuesday during lunch in Room 1! The year is coming to an end! Get as much improv in as you can before it’s summer.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· Schedule a one-on-one appointment with one of our credentialed college counselors. Call 310-318-7337 ext. 5253 or email [email protected]. *Juniors – the Spring Semester is an ideal time to meet with a CCC Counselor.
· College Representative Visits In The CCC – If visit is during class please get teacher permission to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about your schools of interest and meet the admission counselors. View all visits and sign-up to attend on NAVIANCE. Please bring your school ID.

· Applying to College 101 workshop Series in the CCC Maximize your summer! Start early and make applications stress-free!

*College Application Essay Writing – Tuesday, 6/4 at 2:00pm and 6:00pm
This series will be most helpful for Juniors and their parents, however all grade levels are welcome to attend! Sign up on Naviance under “College Visits.”
· SoCal Roc is now enrolling for the Fall 2019 semester. Classes begin Monday, September 9. Come to the CCC to sign up and learn more about the classes we offer.
